The UTG 13" FF is only 15.6oz. It compares to similar size rails from DD 12" (15.3oz), Spikes BAR 12" (16.9oz), Larue 12"(16.8oz), and Troy MRF 12"(20.7oz). Of course there are lighter rails out there, such as the Fortis REV etc. If I ever feel the need to spend more money on a rail, I'll definitely be going with the Fortis.

If someone chooses to put a 13" rail on their AR, I would hope they know they're adding weight to the front of the rifle. You don't have to be a hardened veteran to figure this out.
