Wow, there are at least 6 guns mentioned in this thread that I don't share the same experience.

Mini-14 - you can't expect it to shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards, it's a ranch rifle! Probably one of the funnest, easy to handle, reliable guns out there.

Taurus Snub 38 - Hasn't had more than 500 rounds, but never a glitch.

RIA(armscor) - Just picked one up a few months ago, taken it out twice, ~300 rounds so far, no hiccup, and pretty damn accurate for a $400 1911. Make sure to use ball ammo.

Ruger SR9 or Kahr - They are very reliable guns, however I can agree about the triggers being long.

Mini 14 - I can't believe people don't like their Minis, especially for the price, you can't beat it!
