When I was 12 years old my father took a 7.7 Jap Arisaka as collateral on money he lent out. I was fascinated by the rifle. I made drawings of the markings on the rifle and then took the bus to the public library to research what it was. I found one gun store in town that carried 7.7 ammo (by Norma) and saved up for a box. I am now 44 and I still have that rifle as well as a 6.5 Arisaka and 28 other firearms.
