I grew up in Soviet Union. Not that many guns around. My dad had (and come to think still does) beautifully engraved 12 ga side-by-side TOS. But I never really cared that much for it. Always prefered knives - thought of guns being too crude, lacking the finess of a sharp blade. Shot Makarov (PM), AKM and AK74 in the army - was OK, but again - no excitement. Then moved to US and one day started playing original Fallout. I have no idea why, but that game just gave me a fever about guns. Joined S&W shooting academy, bought first Marlin 7000 and then never looked back.
