There's now a huge farm in Ocotillo. Appeared virtually overnight.
I'm all for "green" energy if it can be self-sustaining and profitable, but so far I have not seen examples of it.

out of action. The smaller farm up the road by the casino is never more than 80% operational (just count the number of towers that are idle when you drive by.) That's 20% of the profit gone
before you even start talking about cost of the equipment, efficiency, maintenance, weather patterns, expected life of the turbines etc.
Green power is nothing more than a political football and a waste of taxpayer money.
