I'm about to start reloading for a 16" .308 (M1A Socom). I made the mistake of already buying a few components before asking the questions (Shame on me). What receipe would you guys recomend for this gun? The little i bought was 1lb Varget, CCI LR primers, 168 HPBT Hornady Match bullets. If possible what's a good load using these for the M1A socom and what would the recommended components be for this gun? Also is there a significant difference between using cast bullets and jacketed at ranges up to 350 yards for the .308 of of such a short barrel? Oh and i'm not sure if it matters but according to a quick search it's got a 1/11" twist.
