Hello,

I have had this Longbranch No. 4 for several years and I need to sell it to make room for other purchases.

This is a 1945 dated rifle. The bolt, forestock and receiver match. Magazine is not numbered. Buttstock is stamped BSA twice so probably added during a refurb or swapped out to fit a soldier specifically. There is quite a bit of black finish remaining on this gun, with some obvious wear here and there. There is some reddish staining near the rear sight, it is weird it looks like a little rust but doesn't come off easy like rust....might be paint. There is remnants of green paint on the forward part of the receiver which is commonly found on some of these Enfields.

The bolt head is a #3. This bolt WILL close on a No-Go gauge, and will *almost* close on a field gauge. Using the rubber o-ring trick is recommended to preserve your brass, but not absolutely necessary on this rifle. I have fired a couple hundred rounds through this gun with no head separation.

Bore is dark. Lands are prominent and strong. Someone re-crowned it at some point, crown is new cut.

Bolt works smooth and magazine feeds reliably. Trigger is nice on this gun.

I live in Elk Grove and will meet in the Sacramento or Stockton area.

I WILL SHIP if you send me back the case I ship it in. Will ship to C&R+COE holder or FFL.

Price: $250 FTF I need the space so make me an offer.

I will also entertain trades. Anything goes, worse that can happen is a polite "no thanks" from me.
