Welcome to the sporting clays world! There are very few women shotgunners out there, but those that are--are a good group. I wholeheartedly recommend taking a lesson or thirty. Learning hold point and break point and a lot of other things will help you break more clays. There is a great instructor at Triple B Clays named Cindi Hubbard. She is a really good shooter, patient and understands women shooters.

You should consider trying a fun shoot sometime. Go check out the following places for fun shoots: Triple B Clays, Raahauges, and Redlands Shooting Park. If you show up at Redlands, you may only be shooting with six or seven other people (which can be very good or not so good). Raahauges will have really nice people and a boat load of them. Triple Bs is a bit more serious (sometimes stuffy). You can always enter "sportsman" class and not have to register for NSCA....but you will if you have caught the bug.

Welcome! It's a great sport.....I hope to see you out at a fun shoot sometime. Really consider a lesson from Cindi--she's good people.
