I believe that Californians would rather see more criminals on the street and fewer in jail. Good luck trying to get funding for expanding the prison system. Wasn't three strikes weakened by referendum primarily as a cost cutting measure? Haven't they started releasing criminals from the prison system in order to free up space and save money?
This state is bankrupt, both morally and financially, and it never ceases to amaze me that no matter how much debt spending the state piles on, all the drones go around wanting the government to tax and spend even more.
