The best customer service is the one you never have to use. I've been lucky in this respect with HK. I wanted to buy some spare trigger springs off them: great service. Also had a trigger converted by them: had it back in about a week-week and a half. My experience with them has been positive.
If you have no actual experience with what you're speaking on, it's best to keep yer yap shut. Most of what I've heard about HK having bad service is "I heard" or "I know this guy" type stories. They may have been bad in the past but I don't find them lacking now.
