Woman now speaking about the shooting at 101 California in San Francisco, and her sister killing herself with a legally purchased gun.
I was working in SF at the time of the 101 California shooting, and I had to walk that way to get to the BART station to go home. The news we had at the time was very unclear about what was happening, and made it sound like some guy was on the roof and maybe shooting passersby. I also knew someone who committed suicide with a gun. And guess what. My first thoughts were not that guns should be banned and confiscated. It has never occured to me that banning guns, or stricter gun control laws are the answer, because it's not.
People do bad things. If they can't get guns, they'll figure out another way to do bad things. Why is that so hard to understand?
