AyatollahGondola 04-02-2013 6:42 PM

Yes, I'll continue to fight. These people in our statehouse are oppressive. April is a bad month for me to fight though. Got some work finally. I'll have to fight from the computer this time. It's probably for the best though. Those committee meetings were causing me physical grief.

SURVIVOR619 04-02-2013 7:09 PM

Thanks, you're making this quite easy - there's no excuse for any of us NOT to do this.. If we can lurk on CGN, we can print and mail these letters... I'll print them all in bulk, different date each day and mail them one by one, day after day!!!

Much appreciated!

sharxbyte 04-02-2013 7:46 PM

Enfield47 04-02-2013 8:05 PM

This is so sad to see our once great nation and state falling into the abyss. Now is the time for us to take a stand and fight back with our voice of opposisition. Make your voice heard and join the fight by sending these letters and emails. We have no excuse, pennys dad has made it easy for us by providing the information. Now get to work and make our voices heard!

LiMSaN 04-02-2013 8:18 PM

bump!!

chead 04-02-2013 8:57 PM

Thanks for collecting this! We need a one-click mailer.

Dhena81 04-02-2013 9:20 PM

Wow that must have taken a lot of work to do. I wish there was an email address for each member because that's a lot of paper to print and mail. I'm going to go to staples and get some more supplies in the morning.

Sig357 04-02-2013 9:39 PM

Will do. Thanks for all your hard work!

AlaskaGuy 04-02-2013 9:49 PM

Thanks for putting this together. I typed emails to my representatives (again) for this latest round of attacks on our rights.

It is depressing that from my lowest level city councilman all the way up to Obama, they are all gun grabbers... sigh.

menancyandsam 04-02-2013 9:54 PM

Plan on sending out two letters per day for me & my wife (don't tell her) for the next 10 days to my State Assembly & State Senator

darkest2000 04-03-2013 12:06 AM

Emails sent using the NRA-ILA page....I'm sick to my stomach.

MQUnlimited 04-03-2013 2:04 AM

Speechless.

Cody_2ZZ 04-03-2013 4:11 AM

I'll be printing and mailing letters all week.

pennys dad 04-03-2013 6:21 AM

I will add an email list today.

we are reduced to the alternative of choosing an unconditional submission to the tyranny of irritated ministers, or resistance. Our cause is just... We fight not for glory or for conquest. we exhibit to mankind the remarkable spectacle of a people attacked by unprovoked enemies, without imputation or even suspicion of offense. John Dickinson - during draft of Declaration of Independence

BBJohnnyT 04-03-2013 7:10 AM

Thanks for you work on this. A future suggestion... Please make a letter far shorter and right to the point, such as a one paragraph of 4 or 5 strongly worded sentences. That will have much more impact, because no one will read an essay. It's also good to close by mentioning you are a single-issue voter (that is guns) and you will fight to make them lose their job in the next election if they continue this course. That is the only thing these power drunk pinheads will actually listen to.

winetoad 04-03-2013 10:58 AM

Printed and sent today.

SuperSet 04-03-2013 11:03 AM

Just so I can target my efforts and make things more clear, what is the difference between what is being done on these letters vs Wildhawker's FPC page?

pennys dad 04-03-2013 11:31 AM

What I see are many efforts being run by many groups to stop these attacks against our rights. This effort is simply the Official CALGUNS effort. I suspect we all see that we are being forced to an unconditional submission and instead we are choosing resistance.

TKI 04-03-2013 12:43 PM

I don't understand how they passed this bill when this was ruled unconstitutional just a couple years ago when AB962 was struck down.

WTF is going on?

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=385930

Anyone care to explain how the bills they are passing is any different?

Right now the NRA and CRPA have lobbyists working hard on this in Sacramento.
The NRA is sending out emails and contact information to it's members urging them to send letters and emails.
The NRA Members Councils are rallying their members and associates to contact the Legislature.
Industry partners across California are asking their customers to make calls and send letters.

What it comes down to is this.

We need EVERY means of mobilizing and motivating people to get up and get involved.
This is NOT one person's fight or one organization's fight, this is EVERYONE'S fight.

If the FPC page get's people to get involved, Great!
If people get fired up by the NRA MCs, Wonderful!
If CGSSA's letters make it easier for someone to join the fight, Awesome!

Who did what is immaterial, as long as it got people moving or helped people get involved.
'Who' only matters to those who place greater value on credit and glory then on victory and success.
When we win, and we will, WE win not group A or org B.
All of us.

Pick your vehicle to get involved, hop in and ride that SOB until the wheels fall off!!

SURVIVOR619 04-03-2013 1:17 PM

AB962 was just ruled too vague, they fixed that with this new bill.

It still is too vague and restrictive. If I go to the range I can't share ammo with someone? How about a father giving his son ammo while hunting? Or teaching boy scouts to shoot?

Calzona 04-03-2013 4:19 PM

I am literally sick to my stomach. Yes, all of these are unconstitutional but it will take YEARS to undo the damage in the court system. In the meantime myself and thousands of other law-abiding citizens will be made criminals with the stroke of a pen.

I guess if they want to make me a criminal, I should act like a criminal.

NOID4RP 04-03-2013 6:14 PM

Count me in for the fight

I'm a new member but you can count me in for the fight. I have been emailing our legislators and trying to get my voice heard. Let me know what I can do.

penciljockey 04-03-2013 11:34 PM

Vote them out

fishguts 04-04-2013 10:33 AM

SO,

I need to have a total of 117 copies of each letter for a total of 1287 letters. That will cover sending 11 letters to every Senator and Assemblyman. That is a lot of postage. Did I miss something??

You could show up with walterwhite at the Committee hearings.
It might be better than another letter.
Thread is here.

The letter campaign is designed for those that cannot or will not actively assist in other ways. This is many tentacles doing many things at once. Some will go to the hearings, some will make phone calls, some will write letters and some will email.
And then there are those that will denigrate everyone's efforts and do little or nothing while enjoying the fruits of others labors.

We've watched things erode over the years losing just one little thing at a time, just one little regulation added. In the meantime we fight in the Courts to rollback some of this stuff. Why not put a stop to it before it becomes law?

Its easier to keep the gate closed than it is to chase down a runaway horse.

This is a big effort, yes, but you are not fighting for your right to a mocha latte. You are fighting for your Civil Right, a right given to you by your creator not given to you by a man or a government. The right to self defend, to self expression of what you believe in, you are fighting for your posterity, your future. you are fighting back against a government that is openly saying if you own a gun you are a second class citizen, that you stand not as equals to them but subjects, because they will just Out Law your right and call it a day.

On a lighter side you could just send 1 letter to everyone of them, just pick the letter to the bill that offends you the most.

pennys dad 04-04-2013 12:44 PM

It's a sin that somehow the light of freedom is changing to the shadow of unconditional submission and casting its shroud over all we have known. Have we become so unaware, have our ranks grown so filled with apathy and our hearts of stone that we could find ourselves disarmed, without suspicion of a crime or other wrong doings? Are we to wake up one day outside our freemen’s dreams and instead be part of the dream of the King?

Ajcrash 04-04-2013 2:51 PM

Thanks for putting this all together. Though you do realize that when emailing these folks they all have a 200 word limit for remarks. Most will not accept an email that does not come directly through the .gov site.

$500+ is a bit costly to write them all eleven letters, heck I'd apply that cash to moving out of CA. It will never get any better, I've been writing these political hacks for years and have almost never seen it bare any fruit. I hate to abandon the fight, but their comes a point when one must conclude that all is lost.
