Yes. Distance is about 90 yds or so.

thaiphob25 02-04-2013 3:33 PM

Can we bring our own steel targets?

Ricky-Ray 02-04-2013 3:50 PM

Steel targets and frames are not allowed at the moment.

darthsideous 02-04-2013 6:20 PM

I'll be a tentative, want to play with some new toys. It depends on if I can find some more ammo by then

dcmartin 02-04-2013 6:45 PM

Sounds like fun, looking fwd to meeting up!

David13 02-07-2013 6:32 AM

I am thinking I will be there.
And it looks like my weird neighbor will tag along with me. He has a Mosin.
So, I'll have to figure out what to bring, foodwise.

We're coming (2)

MR512 02-08-2013 10:42 AM

I will definitely make this one.

If anyone is interested in some frames hit me up, they come out to around $10 and you can pretty much salvage for a next trip to Burro...

1x2 inch pine slats with a butterfly bolt and you use their wood bases... I made two last time and still have one only because I cut one up to use for my wifes parrot's toys...

BlueDog333 02-11-2013 3:02 PM

If I can get a day off work I'll be there also.

as_rocketman 02-11-2013 9:46 PM

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that Appleseed will be next door. Most if not all of us are Calgunners. You're welcome to come over and check it out, and maybe we can swap stories at lunch. See you there! ;)

I'll try to tell the guys about how great Appleseed is if I can make it. I've been to two myself and earned my patch :D at Azusa.

MR512 02-12-2013 3:24 PM

I'd do the Appleseed but need to get my Henry Survival rifle first...

Socalman 02-17-2013 6:25 PM

Tentative. Will be in Fresno until late Saturday night depends on how tired I am on Sunday. I am a member at Burro Canyon and if I make it will bring food and drinks.

I think you should consider a Ruger 10/22 takedown also. I think you'd be more satisfied with one of those then a Henry ar7. Plus you can get better aftermarket sights like the Tech-Sights for one.

Do you have a buddy you're already taking? I'll meet up wherever you'd like if you can get me in.

derniere 02-18-2013 12:05 PM

I'll be up there. It'll be nice meetin up some local calgunners.

Alex

David13 02-18-2013 3:24 PM

I am in for certain. I don't know about my neighbor.
What should I bring food wise?

canis lupus 02-19-2013 8:50 PM

I'm in. I also have about 50 AQTs that I will bring along with me if anyone wants to shoot the Appleseed challenge ;)

AndrewMendez 02-21-2013 10:48 PM

Howdy All. It looks like i'm running this shoot this weekend! Can I get a quick roll call of all who plan on attending please. Do we have enough for a pot luck, or would it just be best to bring a small BBQ, some buns, hot dogs, chips and drinks?

I was going to bring the same thing plus some red coats. I shot Rifleman over a year ago and haven't kept up my dry fire practice.

Please put me down as a tentative, I work graveyard and need to sleep a little Sunday morning before I drive out to the range.

David13 02-22-2013 1:03 PM

I shall be there.
If those hot dogs are all beef and cooked properly, I shall gladly purchase 2.

I've got plenty of 22lr and can share, but I won't be there untill the afternoon.

DisturbedAle 02-23-2013 6:15 AM

Darn, I missed the thread, hopefully there is another. I already have plans for tomorrow, but if there is a next time...

David13 02-23-2013 6:30 AM

The forecast is for high winds. Thus, black powder may be out.
Also, anything not tied down, or held down will blow away.

There is an event every month though October at Burro. Check the Calendar.

What are you shooting? Depending on the caliber most people have extra ammo to share... Unfortunately I won't be there this month so I can't speak for the others, but if you specify someone may be able to accommodate your needs.

AndrewMendez 02-23-2013 12:54 PM

So...as of now we only have 2 people?

David13 02-23-2013 2:06 PM

I'm counting, perhaps, 11.
Let us say at this time 11. That may go up, or down tomorrow. And at least one says arrival at noon, or thereafter.
Final count will have to be taken in the field.
dc

uxo2 02-24-2013 12:04 PM

Im on the way

David13 02-24-2013 3:40 PM

Ok
We did have 6. Final field count was 6, but I left at 2:45, so it appears uxo didn't make it, tho' that might have been after or at 3. I don't know.
512 was the last one there when I left.
Andrew was there early, but then left about 12 or so.
Alex showed with 2 which was Cheryl and one other, I guess I forgot his name.
Becciboo did not show, as we would have field verification there as to whether or not becciboo is a person what matches their avatar.
For those present it was affirmed, I look exactly like my avatar.

Thanks Andrew for running the lanes today, had a blast zeroing in my scope...

Thanks to David for spotting for me as well.

Its great to meet all of the Calgunners that made it out. Compared to the public ranges, it was great to have the area all to ourselves.

Im kinda bad with names but will remember faces for sure!

Lex 02-25-2013 3:36 PM

Wow.. what a small turn out. Lets do it again. My rig has a bbq tank built in. We can do a BBQ along with lots of lead and brass...

Small but determined. Thank you all for coming. Sorry I couldn't be there, but hope to see you all again and many more next month. Next month it's March 17th. Come one come all!

derniere 02-25-2013 7:52 PM

Heya all.

It was very nice meeting everyone. My guests Cheryl & John would like to thank everyone for the hospitality, and especially Andrew, for making her fire his 12ga. "Naw, it don't kick at all!"

Thanks Dave, Andrew, Marco, and Jacob. Sorry we didn't get to talk more, but I'll make sure to join the next shootncues.

Alex

MR512 02-26-2013 9:28 AM

I was just at Burro in January and I must say that it was a lot better than using the public ranges.
