electrified safe
Hi; Any one know where I can buy a safe that has a built in stun feature to shock thieves ? I saw one a few years back but can not find it again . Or how about instructions on hot do it myself
thanks |
I'm pretty sure that would be illegal unless you clearly marked the safe as being electrified

Shocker 6
I love the idea, but....Are you sure that wasn't in a movie?

shocking.

Buy a safe, not a residential security container
For 9-10k you can get a safe that jewelry shops keep inventory You want a safe rated to defeat burglars. |
I've seen this discussed in other threads before. The consensus was that it's illegal. One idea that came up to prevent thieves cutting it open was to put a stainless steel mesh/net around it (either in between the panels or on the outside) to bind up a sawsall.

The goal of a safe is to keep your property yours. It will do little good if you have to hand your property over to a thief after he, or his estate, sues you for his injury or death caused by your electrified safe.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that the thief deserved whatever happens to him once he enters your premises. But that kind of common sense thinking is in the minority in our society and is practically non-existent within our legal system. |
Rig something heavy and/or sharp by it to fall on them so it looks like an accident.
|
Maybe when they try to open your safe, another safe will fall on them.
|
rig a shot gun to go off when they open it. oh no thats illegal. nevermind bad idea
