Hopefully site comes back up so I can put in an order.

onegtalon 01-06-2013 12:18 AM

Nope.... tried a few times.... after i put in my info the site said "unable to process order" or something like that....

I gave up after a few tries... gonna look out for my CC in the near future...

contracosta 01-06-2013 12:25 AM

I'm able to add to cart fine. you mean unable to check out?

Bobby Ricigliano 01-06-2013 12:25 AM

Having never ordered a 'Firearm' online (other than C&R), how much does this end up costing to actually take it home?

Cost of firearm
+ shipping
+ DROS
+ local tax on all of the above
----------------------------
$$$

In this case:
$118 lower
$6 shipping
$65 DROS
$16 tax
------------
$205

That's only if you buy one lower. If you buy multiple lowers, the DROS fee for each additional lower after the first is $35 (per my FFL).

Once they started charging tax on out of state purchases (about a year ago), it basically killed most online deals.

I was able to add to cart... I was not able to check out...

your FFL is robbing you then, the actual single DROS cost is $25, but you can DROS multiple long guns on a single DROS which a lot of FFLs will do for the same price as a single gun. Some places will charge a "storage fee" on top of that, some wont

orthopod 01-06-2013 12:49 AM

The best I have been able to find in the Bay Area is $65 ($40 dealer fee and $25 DROS fee) and $10 for each additional long gun/receiver. Is that about as good as it gets or have you guys found even better pricing on transferring multiple long guns/receivers from out of state FFL?

unless your FFL charges an 'inventory fee' or whatever they might call it to have a firearm shipped to them.

some FFL's charge $150 for just that (the inventory fee), where in this market, may be worth it

SoulStealer 01-06-2013 12:52 AM

Just ordered one. $117.53 plus 5.99 shipping!

Just ordered some too. Order went through I took screenshots of everything. I already checked my Visa and it charged it. It was concerning that it would let you add any number to the cart. I hope they have them. I will be checking in next week to see if these things are really in stock as the website says.

orthopod 01-06-2013 12:57 AM

Has anyone ever dealt with them. Did a quick internet search and they have overwhelmingly positive reviews and seems to be a real store front...

SoulStealer 01-06-2013 12:57 AM

My FFL charges 15 transfer plus 25 DROS, can't beat it.

$172.63 OTD! :D :D :D

I did the same thing too Tripper. I didn't want to go too crazy and have money hung up so I kept my order # in the single digits in case our party gets rained on next week when we hear the B word.

orthopod 01-06-2013 1:21 AM

It will be a pleasant surprise if they really were in stock. Not counting on it but at least I'm sure they will issue the refund to CC but I don't want the refund I want the lowers:)

SoulStealer 01-06-2013 1:22 AM

I received a confirmation email and number. Says it should ship in about 10-12 days due to the high demand.

Turbomrdeuce 01-06-2013 1:45 AM

Just bought 3

Steve1968LS2 01-06-2013 8:13 AM

All gone.. dang, should have gotten up earlier.. lol

Good deal considering I just sold one on GB for $405...

Tripper 01-06-2013 9:29 AM

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, we have had an error in our shopping cart system and it has allowed the out of stock Spikes Lower to be added to your cart. We are very sorry for the error, but we will have to cancel your order and void the charge on your credit card. We have the Spikes stripped lowers on order from Spikes and hope to see them back in stock in the next few months. Please make sure you are signed up to be notified on the product page if you are interested in being notified when they come back in stock.

Well after trying again I got a confirmation of the order. Then this morning I got the email from Grabagun telling me the order was canceled. You'll get an email about it.

this is very aggravating how can everything just be sold out like this. Makes me wonder if even going to the damn cow palace gun show is even worth it.

Ronk 01-06-2013 9:38 PM

LOL, you already know the answer to that, did you hear about the show this weekend?

orthopod 01-07-2013 12:05 AM

My CC is still charged and still no cancellation email. Hopefully they take care of it tomorrow so that money can be released soon.

Elections have consequences.. capitalists (myself included) will take advantage of market spikes to maximize profit and sustainability..

Sustainability especially on the "firearms industry".. The rules and cost are about to change drastically..

Taxes and spending are going up once again..

Which means the $ is worth even less..

And EVERYTHING you see, smell, touch, taste and hear..

IS GOING TO COST MUCH MORE..

Get a helmet..
