Mhy sick Folliage Green Build!!

Well built a couple of ARs and like the CASV M rail set up from vltor and always wanted to build one, but so many different ways you can go on an AR platform... So this is what I've got so far waiting for a crap load of stuff from BCM.

Vltor MUR1
Vltor CASV-M
BCM med CH
Troy BUIS
BADASS ambi
Magpul UBR
TNT Lower (aka Seekins)
Timney 3.5 lbs trigger
Fail zero BCG
My Trademark AFG2 mated to a Noveske K9!!

Now just waiting on a 14.5 barrel from BCM, Knights Armament Triple tap;) and a surefire M720 and aimpoint T1 with a ADM socom mount!! Should have it done by Friday, the bastards screwed up my shipping.

Has no barrel. How is it an AW?

allstarauto 12-11-2012 8:47 PM

NO Barrel Beavis! hence the part where I posted waiting for barrel and yes the barrel is 14.5" I'm gonna pin and weld the KAC triple tap to it... Thanks for scaring the **** out of everyone! lol

Yugo 12-11-2012 8:48 PM

... :o :p

allstarauto 12-11-2012 8:50 PM

Man we almost thought you worked for the media throwin' the AW word around man! lol

sd_shooter 12-11-2012 8:56 PM

No kidding. People need to MYOB and stop seeing things that aren't there.

allstarauto 12-11-2012 9:01 PM

Its cool, he just jumped the gun and noticed the short rail extension with no barrel there. I'm having fun with this build can't wait until its done! kinda building two other ARs at the same time. got bored and had a couple lower sitting around for a while and mix and match parts... I'll take a group picture by the end of the week they should be done, one of them however is a 89% build I don't know when I'll be able to machine it although I got the parts the jig and a tiny mill! lol

Rider1k 12-11-2012 9:05 PM

SAWEEEET! Cant wait to see it finished!

peter95 12-11-2012 9:19 PM

LOL Yugo. I was thinking the same thing until someone pointed it out.

Yugo 12-11-2012 9:22 PM

Xtracrispy 12-12-2012 6:57 AM

Looks good! You're making me wish I went Foliage instead of OD :o

wicked liquid 12-12-2012 12:43 PM

Can't wait to see that thing finished!

Casual_Shooter 12-12-2012 12:46 PM

Looks good.

allstarauto 12-12-2012 1:22 PM

dude foliage green make OD look like **** when I put my OD Ar next to it!! I just got my DSG arms order in the Black Rain ordinance BCG is way cleaner than the fail zero. Its machined so much cleaner not so porous just an overall cleaner BCG. I swapped it out just waiting for the muzzle brake friday.

allstarauto 12-14-2012 9:45 PM

Black Rain Ordnance Bolt carrier group, freaking awesome, my opinion way better than failzero, just the quality of machining

Waiting for the Socom ADM mount kinda a little to high for the Aimpoint to cowitness

Here is my hybrid AFG2 with a Noveske K-9 barrier/hand stop, I cut the end of the AFG exactly to mate up with the K9 on the rail

Very nice. I like my FG also.

ArkinDomino 12-14-2012 11:26 PM

You pinned the KAC Triple tap? Was that difficult?

allstarauto 12-15-2012 12:32 AM

just drilled a whole in the triple tap, kinda hard inconel has a lot of nickel in it. I used 2 1/16 tiNic drill bits from homedepot. then spaced with the washers that come with the brake and then followed the drill through the existing hole that I made, careful not to go through the barrel. I cut off a piece of the drill and tapped it through the hole and then welded it! cleaned it up and painted it with teflon moly paint to give it that clean look.

lavey29 12-15-2012 6:40 AM

Very nice build. Can you tell us a little about the other one in your picture you built also. Appears to have most of the same parts but maybe different bolt carrier, barrel and FH?

hahaha yeah the other was my first "invisioned" Ar except that one has a Noveske Infidel 13.7 upper with the Vltor/Noveske monolithic upper comes pinned from the factory, eotech with magnifier I teflon moly painted it 2 colors threw it in the oven and bam it was FDE! it has the M16 Noveske bolt, but I'm gonna swap it out with the Black Rain Ordnance bcg soon as they are available. I have a couple of other AR my OD one is in the process of being mixed up with my sons Black upper, waiting to get the 80% lower done and painted so I can put his upper on that lower and monday I'm getting the original upper for the OD set up, (my good friend bought that upper...) Got all the parts to finish that even an aimpoint after that done I'm done with ARs, I remember when I first joined this forum on my first build way back they said it wont be your only build and they weren't kidding! lol I sold my Barrett last month so it made it easier to get these builds going! AR are just so fun to shoot!

I like the curved bevel cut in the mag well on those Top Notch receivers. Is it more functional for mag swaps or just more cosmetic. All your rifles look great. Also, I am in Alta Loma too, may need to compare notes one day as I am starting 2 builds now for my first effort.

yeah it is way functional way easier to do mag swaps! hit me up my shop is in Rancho Cucamonga and I usually have them at work, like today waiting for some parts for the OD build to come to the shop. hit me up superbikearmen@aol.com my name is Armen

lavey29 12-17-2012 2:37 PM

Cool, thanks Armen, I will try and stop by one day this week. I have an Infidel upper on order as well but have 2 lowers that I just had milled out. I don't really like the finish on them though so I was thinking about having them anodized again but may go with a cerakote finish in a different color other then black to do the builds.

iloveyourmom562 12-28-2012 12:13 AM

Very nice..
