Hand drawn advertising poster for guides business
Ive been working on this advertising poster to put up in gun and outdoor stores. Its taken the artist and myself 3 months to design and draw it up. All hand drawn. I was going for an old fashioned "sideshow" or "wanted" poster. I think it worked out. What do you guys think?

Tanner68 12-04-2012 10:51 PM

That looks great. I like it a lot. What are the two brands at the top?

Hunter87 12-04-2012 10:53 PM

Man that looks very nice.

ckhb 12-04-2012 11:57 PM

That's very cool!

Do you have a high-quality, scanned version of that?

Let me know, I'm with ckhb on the idea of a shirt, it would look really good. I'll print you a couple if you've got it scanned.

Reminds me of the posters from the late 1800's. Has that feel of when our country was a place to enjoy, unlike today when you can only enjoy what they haven't passed a law against yet. It has the look of the old Wild Bill style posters from his show. Very nicely done. Frame-able!

Looks awesome you should post more info about your services!

ckhb 12-05-2012 11:23 PM

If you want to know more just send him a message. He runs a great service and works his butt off. I've hunted with him twice and since my first hunting trip with him I've been addicted. I can't get pigs out of my head.

tpuig 12-05-2012 11:52 PM

Pretty awesome. That would be great framed in a cabin, and also on a shirt as mentioned...

Very cool and the vibe it has going is perfect for hunting. That being said I might reconsider the background around the center hog. At the very least it is too dark. The hog needs to contrast and pop more off the poster. Personally I'd make the hog bit larger and have him coming out of the drawn background some. The stage background itself may convey the wrong image. Very nice but can be even better.

bigboarstopper 12-06-2012 2:13 PM

Tanner68, The 2 brands twards the top is the artists signature

Gary, of course you can have one.

Curly Red, Funny you said that. I have an old Buffalo bill wild west show poster and I used it as a theme reference.

Eric Mayer, Sounds like a good idea.

Stevehazard, I agree with you about the curtain background. The artist did this all in ink and it was a one shot kinda thing. Regardless, I may have the artist make up a new poster for me every other year or so with a new theme. Besides if I get a website going or god forbid the ban the use of hog dogs I will have to change some of the info on it anyhow. I have to say it came out pretty badass.

Does anyone know how i can make multiple quotes from different posts??

looks great!

Abesnake 12-06-2012 6:49 PM

Fate the drapes in back of the pig to make it more prominent. Otherwise it's really a winner. Congrats. ;)

Right next to the "Quote" button is the "Multi-Quote" button. it has a ("+) on it. Click that on each post you want to quote
