You and 2 million other people.

Get on their email list and try to catch them before they go out of stock when they get some in.

That's what I had to do. Got the first email, missed out, signed up again, and got it on the second go. It seemed they release them in batches instead of putting the whole stock into the inventory system; got the emails about an hour apart and then signed up for them again as they were out of stock by the time my order processed. Roughly an hour later, another email notification, waited until they were out of stock again, and then signed up again. About an hour later, got the email again.

Edit: Really pleased with their fast shipping and their packaging of the BCG; included a spare gas ring and it was sealed in plastic in its own little compartment and everything was well packaged.

Perhaps OOS is part of the BCM mystique. (Same thing with PSA...) Probably just a post-election gun rush since the BCGs are usually there.

What makes it worth waiting for? The BCM logo?

(I have BCM myself and they are great, but I wouldn't call myself a fanboi)

You could also get a Spikes or a Failzero while you wait:

Just got one from G&R Tactical yesterday. Their website says that they still have them in stock:

Right now I'd say a BCG is a BCG. Unless you're willing to be on a waiting list for awhile you may have to mix and match.

Don29palms 12-01-2012 1:26 PM

Phase 5 Tactical has BCGs in stock.

I agree. It is nice to be able to tell where a particular BCG comes from, but not necessary to be able to see it while it's in the rifle through the ejection port.

For people still looking for a BCG, Core15 has M16 BCG's in stock for $130+shipping. Also, no ridiculous markings.:)

JNunez23 12-01-2012 11:20 PM

I wouldn't go as far as to call the marking on a BCG "ridiculous"; what's so bad about that?

I think it's a little like the "polo guy" on a shirt:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...auren_logo.png

It says: "I paid a little extra for this just so I could have the emblem" ;)

On the other hand, at least you know what you're getting with all the logo gear - for example Larue stamps all their products. I have no problem with it either way.

Darklyte27 12-02-2012 5:24 AM

loves my spikes easier to clean and lot smoother

Z.1 12-02-2012 7:20 AM

I'd say the logo on BCM and Spikes is fine (somewhat subdued). The Phase 5 is a little 'out there' for my tastes, but whatever melts your butter...

Darklyte, you run the nickel boron?

backstrap 12-02-2012 8:23 AM

I have a spikes but want a BCM. I will let y'all know if I find a difference. This rifle will eat lots of steel cased ammo. The places were sold out yesterday. BCM sent a email at 9am by the time I was able to get to my computer they were sold out.

The BCM one is the least offensive, the spider is just kind of dumb to me, and the phase 5.....well

Wow!! That's too much. ONE simple marking is okay in my book ;)

I am a little partial to BCM; can't deny that! lol

I know she's filthy. Shots were taken after the range. Still has froglube gunked up in there.

rojocorsa 12-02-2012 1:12 PM

The Bravo Co BCG is a quality piece, which is why people like them. The bolt already comes with the o-ring for the extractor (and an extra one in the packaging). It's also magnafluxed and high pressure tested. Key is staked properly.

Plug and play and don't worry. Also, when I got mine, it was clearly test fired to ensure it worked, as there were brass marks on the bolt face.

UserM4 12-02-2012 1:33 PM

I'd get this and wouldn't look back.

Yes the logo is cheese but they're great BCG with personal attention to detail.
Lifetime warranty

Rainier Arms sells a rebadged version as their own with specs. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...roduct_id=2012

Same can be said for any other well known "mil-spec" BCG like those from DD, LMT, Colt, PSA, etc.

DirtyLaundry 12-03-2012 2:11 PM

BCM's are in stock....

for now.

triggatronic 12-03-2012 2:25 PM

Get on the email notification list, when you get a notice better jump on it. Those BCM bolts are going quick now a days.

People were sending their Brand X non-HPT, non-MPI tested bolt carrier groups to BCM for "warranty work," claiming it was one of theirs bought at a gunshow, so that's why they are marked. Colt BCG are also marked, but more subtly.

I've been on the list 2 days in a row now and have missed out on both opportunities.

Today being my lucky day I paid close attn to the pattern and noticed that the email notifications were sent out at 3pm PST both days. Decided to refresh their site today at 3pm and voila, In stock...

Sold out in 2 minutes so I say jump on it tomorrow and see if it's the same situation. Hope this helps.

KenP 12-12-2012 3:45 PM

I did the same. By the time you get the email it's too late. I checked over and over again today on the site... Refreshing over and over around 2-3:30 and got lucky. By the time i got the email it was sold out.

Foebia 12-12-2012 5:34 PM

Sounds like when SGAmmo gets in 500 rounds boxes of XM193.

Thats exactly what happened to me today... I was just like "OH SH*T ITS IN STOCK!," told the customer in line I would be with them in a few seconds and powered through the order process and forgot everything else.

Zartan 12-13-2012 4:28 AM

Got one last Wed. Check stock around 240-245pm. I missed it 4 times before I finally snagged one. Create an account and be logged in.
