Sooo... no story? No link? Just a picture? COME ON MAN! How am I supposed to properly outraged if I have no back story?

trapshot68 11-19-2012 8:22 AM

Full story? But me thinks its something to do with a Seal Trident???

therealnickb 11-19-2012 8:29 AM

Or was it was because he had run out of room on his chest for awards?

eyeruh 11-19-2012 8:37 AM

We've seen pics of that slob before!

roll2li 11-19-2012 8:38 AM

I mean, we have ribbon checkers online now and people still jack it up....

But's it's OK, at least he got it on the right side and somewhat the correct setup for Dress Bravos.

SuperSet 11-19-2012 8:39 AM

That is unbelievable.

ENTHUSIAST 11-19-2012 8:39 AM

Idiot. You have to be a gunny, master sergeant or a colonel. Everybody knows that.

How stupid do you have to be to try this BS at the freakin' Marine Corp Ball?

Where, you know, there might be, actual Marines?

DannyInSoCal 11-19-2012 9:13 AM

After the wine festival in San Diego -

We found ourselves at the bar on the 22nd floor of the Marriott.

$476 bar tab later -

My wife and I made sure those Marines (and dates) didn't spend a dime...

eyeruh 11-19-2012 9:41 AM

^ Looks like it. This guy is still at it. Why would he even try this at the Ball? They'll make his head spin off.

Mikeb 11-19-2012 9:52 AM

Perhaps they should take the uniform away from him before they send him home next time.

SoCal_Sapper 11-19-2012 10:04 AM

It's funny how people get caught and keep trying to same ol ****. That guy is lucky he didn't get his ****ing teeth kicked in.

Bobby Ricigliano 11-19-2012 10:40 AM

Geez, even as a former U.S. Army Soldier, I felt a little awkward at work when all the Marines had their Birthday celebration and cake cutting. Even though I was invited, it felt strange being at a Marine event.

The stupidity it would take to play dress up in a Marine uniform and pretend in front of a bunch of Marines is tantamount to suicide.

Tacit Blue 11-19-2012 11:10 AM

Nice EOD badge and a Seal Trident. Guy went to some pretty neat schools as a Marine :P His campaign ribbons are hilarious Navy Artic service ribbon. Think I even saw a silver star near the top left.

rooster85 11-19-2012 11:42 AM

Dude looks legit. Lol. True scum bag.

223556 11-19-2012 11:47 AM

Stuff like this makes me sick... It's one if the most disrespectful and heinous things a person can do. Pissed off!
What makes it worse is this guy is old!!!

Because its their legal 4th Amendment right to do so, says all the ****o lawyers.

Since the Stolen Valor Act was deemed unconstitutional.....anyone can do whatever they like.

Personally, only members of the military should wear military uniforms in a manner that imply the wearer was in the military, esp for personal gain.

Wearing cammies for Halloween is a right of passage for any young man. ;)

NorCalXJ 11-19-2012 2:00 PM

An old man posing as a Marine. What has the world come to? My respect to all those men and women who serve.

I know HOW they can do it, and I agree. It isn't yelling FIRE in a theatre.

WHY they do it, is mental illness, combined, in this case, with trying to impress women, if you check out some of the links.

GillaFunk 11-19-2012 2:12 PM

Sorry boss. That actually wasn't directed at you. I was more generally responding to the "Why the fook would someone do that?"

Yah I know. It is repulsive, but legal.

Like burning THE flag, it just puts people on a list I hope St. Peter gets when the time comes.

William G. Hillar billed himself as a hero and a patriot, a 28-year veteran of the Army Special *Forces who shared his knowledge of counter-terrorism by holding training sessions for federal agents and local police.

The 66-year-old Millersville man told people that he was an expert in human trafficking and drug trafficking. He said that his daughter had been kidnapped, forced into sex slavery and killed by her captors before he could rescue her. He said the movie "Taken," starring Liam Neeson, was based on that experience.

It was all a lie.
