Make an MK48 CA legal?

I have been looking at a MK48 as a collection item. I would like it to be functional and CA legal. Is it possible as a semi auto?

They are out there.. But you will be hard pressed to find someone that will be willing to ship it to a CA ffl much less convert it to be CA legal. Aside from making it semi auto you would have to make it impossible to open the feed cover without the use of a tool... Or you could remove the pistol grip and see if you can get a spade grip set up going if you wish to be able to open the feed cover.

Best way to do CA belt feds is a grip fin for the grip and remove the flash hider or replace it with a muzzle brake. This makes the rifle featureless so it is legally able to accept high cap mags (belts).

First off you'll need to find one that was made as a semi auto from the start. If not you'll need to get a demilled parts kit, then an approved semi auto receiver and have it built.
That could get very expensive and i'm not even talking about making it CA compliant, that's just to get one. CA law would be pretty easy to comply with using a grip wrap.

Maybe I will just wait until my out of state residency is complete, 7 months more to freedom.

Looking at schematics it would be fairly simple if Tactical Machining started making OLLs for it. Is there a good vendor for kits or completes for the MK48?

Don't forget it will need to be modified for semi auto only function. Whatever and who ever figures that out will need to send it to the BATFE for approval. Any 80% receivers will need to be sent also.
AFAIK the MK48 is still in use, good luck finding parts kits, i'm not sure if 922r will come into play. They are made here but in Belgium as well, so the ATF could say it's foriegn made and require 10 or less foriegn made parts.
