2012 Holiday Flyer

I'm a big Turner's shopper. I don't have any complaints about purchases, store experiences, or employee troubles.

I am however REALLY disappointed with the 2012 Holiday Flyer. Way fewer guns on sale this year than last year. Not to mention that I can find almost every gun in this years flyer in last years flyer (in fact - I thought it was really lazy of your print department to use the exact same layout on a few of the pages, just cut and pasted from 2011 with a font change and a price increase).

I had really been waiting for this years Holiday flyer as last years was just FULL of firearm discounts. What happened this year Turner's? I'm seriously disappointed.

2012

38 handguns
37 rifles
27 shotguns

2011

47 handguns
50 rifles
26 shotguns
as well as a few complete upprers, complete lowers and stripped lowers.

Lets hope the 12 days of Christmas is better .....

Is this at the store? I'm curious what they have. I'm currently looking for Ruger LCR22, Ruger Blackhawk Bisley, and 10/22 Takedown. Are these significantly cheaper on the flyer?

From the flyer:

Ruger LCR 22 $429.99

10/22 Takedown $299.99

No Blackhawk sale.

Thanks. A bit underwhelming to be honest

pcmduncan 11-19-2012 2:12 AM

I still haven't got mine in the mail. Probably will have to go to the store and pick one up. Until I do, does there happen to be any safes listed?

dragonboy221 11-19-2012 7:16 PM

Where is the flyer?? I don't see it on their site. I only see the weekend flyer..

I don't have the flyer on hand but I believe there are about three safes listed, with the cheapest around $569 I think.

Yeah, they still have not published the flyer online yet for whatever reason. I am beginning to wonder if they purposely want people to come in and get the flyer and purchase a few things while they are there.

Cool_Hand_Luke_57 11-19-2012 7:23 PM

im also a frequent turners shopper....but this holiday flyer sucks

disappointed

gorenut 11-19-2012 8:09 PM

I can only guess that with election hysteria still looming around, they don't need as many big-time sales.

Either that or they don't have that many guns to put on sale anymore.

Page 8 of the flyer has several safes and cabinets, by AMSEC, Champion and Stack-On. Prices range from $80 (AMSEC basic pistol lock box) up to $950 (the big Champion).

Anything on the mossberg 500, 590, or the auto?

Toolfreak66 11-19-2012 11:18 PM

Trickracen 11-19-2012 11:38 PM

Do you know if the S&W 642 has an internal lock? Heard those suck.

TheGreatCow1 11-20-2012 10:15 AM

Thanks for the upload

roc_my_tims 11-20-2012 10:36 AM

THANKS FOR THE PICS!

Thanks! for posting the pics, too bad I didn't see anything that is really good, was hoping to score a Marlin 795 22LR for $100 like previous sales, but don't see that for that price, only their standard street price of $150. Would be interested in a Hi Point 995 TS for the right price.

dragonboy221 11-20-2012 2:16 PM

Thx for the upload

AleksandreCz 11-20-2012 2:28 PM

Thank you for the upload. I was hoping for the Hi point carbine sale damn

bkk6869 11-20-2012 2:42 PM

thanks for the upload. but it kinda figures the only page i care to see if really small. would you mind typing out the ad for the smith and wesson M&P15 sport? i know its $649 but can't see the words underneath the price or what the yellow bubble says.

bill_k_lopez 11-20-2012 3:18 PM

5.56 Chamber 16" Barrel 1-8" Twist 4140 Steel
Chrome lined gas key and bolt carrier Fixed 10rd mag
Adjustable sights 6 position telescoping butt stock
receiver material 7075 T6 Aluminum VPC 811038

649.98 regular price 699.99

SAVE $50.00! (in the star)

---

and, this is the same price they offered on this gun a few months ago, the mag isn't "fixed" as in pinned. The gun is CA compliant with a bullet button.

bkk6869 11-20-2012 3:42 PM

thanks. figured i just paid for mine like a week ago.

anyone know if they'll give me the sales price difference? i know the bigger retailers will give you the sale price difference if you purchase something within 30 days of it going on sale. it'd be nice to have an extra 50 to put towards a nice case.

pbsmind 11-20-2012 3:48 PM

ixta70, thanks for posting the pics, I moved and I haven't gotten mine yet.

ncrotalus 11-20-2012 3:55 PM

No problem guys, I'm debating that gun scout ruger .308. Any input? Sadly not many of these deals are spectacular but what can you do, something is better than nothing.

johnny1290 11-20-2012 5:22 PM

I'd like some radios. not really worth busting down the door for though..

MA2 11-20-2012 6:05 PM

Better than Big 5 :p ... looking forward to the 12 days for Christmas.

It worked on me.:o Went there to get a flyer and picked up a can of Remlube for $8. I found the same can at the Glendale Gun Show two days later for only $5.:chris:

Javi 11-20-2012 11:40 PM

I don't know what I'd use those $11 radios but for $22, why not I guess haha. Might get a Nikon or Redfield scope for my future bolt-action rimfire.

Lol! I came pretty close to buying something much more expensive. But then I thought "hey, why not go on Amazon and check all the reviews first!" and walked out empty-handed except for the flyer. :43:

On a side note, for all who are disappointed with the sales, don't hesitate to sound off on their Facebook page. I am sure they will respond in some way if enough people express their disappointment. They may not make any changes for Black Friday, but may offer better deals for the remainder of the holiday season. Just a thought...

bkk6869 11-21-2012 9:12 AM

Its hard to beat that heritage 22lr for $160ish otd. Especially since the bersa I wanted just went off roster.
