If turkey was any good we'd eat it the rest of the year.

Nice. Thank you!

What are you talking about? There's turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey casserole...the list goes on, and all from one giant bird we eat once a year!

Yeah..., but who eat those...?

Thanks, Not many deals this year like this. At Safeway you spend $25 and then pay .59 Lb for you turkey.
The free S&F birds are not huge. They run 12-14#'s but free is free.

I do. Turkey/cranberry sandwiches are great!
Love cooking down the bones.... turkey soup is a must.
I cooked the last turkey from the freezer over the weekend and getting ready for my Jenny-o Fresh and Easy next week on TG. Leftovers are great if you can cook and are creative. Oh and you forgot hot turkey sandwiches, open faced with gravy.

As good as it is, I've wondered why we don't cook a turkey other times of the year. Easy enough to stick in the oven and wait.

And leftovers galore... http://smiliesftw.com/x/yumyum.gif

Yippy...I got two tonight.

Ferdman 11-16-2012 8:45 AM

Tactical951 11-16-2012 9:30 AM

my union is giving away "free" turkeys...wonder what the catch is with this give away? but they have already have charged us for it with the rip off on our paychecks. and support for obama. makes me wonder who is the real turkey?

billofrights 11-19-2012 10:20 AM

The GF and I went yesterday to get our Thanskgiving meal prep out of the way, picked up two 21 lbs from F&E. Probably going to cook one and donate the other to a shelter.
