An Ol' 12GA Beretta BL4 O/U

Just got this & can't wait to shoot it.
What should I know about this one? (I'm a newbie when it comes to O/U). Any input will be appreciated, thanks.

It was made in the late 60's....likely hand engraved as most gun were in that era. Looks like french walnut stocks......very well made guns. The older guns with fixed chokes are not desirable these day due to choke tubes. I say great.......great guns at great prices...I'm there!

Looks to be a Trap or Skeet model by the raised comb.

What are the barrels chokes?

Thank you, yes the seller said that this has European stock (I don't quite understand if it's good/better) & it doesn't come with chokes, I think it has fixed chokes. Can you tell me more about "chokes"?

Goregous, I especially like the lines of the stock -

Chokes in essence affect the shot pattern by constricting the front of the bore to a certain degree. Fixed chokes imply that there's a fixed constriction at the muzzle; whereas a barrel with choke tubes will have removable chokes, allowing the shooter to vary the constriction at the end. After that there's alot of discussion, arguments, etc...

Thanks for great info.

If the barrels have fixed chokes it should be marked on the barrel what type of choke it's fixed with. Full, modified, improved...
