Hello from Afghanistan!
Hey all,

I'm new here but thought I would post up just saying "hi". :) I'm almost done here in Afghanistan so I'm excited to go back home.

I've been doing research on building an AR-15. Should be fun but I'm in CA so there are some restrictions. Anybody have feedback on the bullet button or prince50? Thanks!

I'm stationed at Travis AFB in northern California. Been in for 7 years and this is my 4th deployment. I'm currently a 2T2 (aerial porter) but looking to switch over to become a loadmaster.

Thanks for your service. Go featureless and forget the bullet button...but if you want the scary pistol grip I have a bullet button and it works good with my home made tool.

Howdy and welcome to CalGuns!
Thank you for your service to our country.

Featureless is the way to go if you have over 10 round mags available.
otherwise, go with evil features and a BB.

What's better, BB or Prince?
I'll let the others answer this, I'm a featureless guy!

Thanks guys.

I really wanted to avoid the bulletbutton but you cannot have a flash hider and most rifle kits I looked at already had it on there. I also want the forward vertical grip to begin with. I was going to get the hammerhead grip at first then found some more info on the rules/laws that CA has so yea...

I think the bulletbutton is better because all you have to do is depress the button on the mag release. The prince50 requires tightening or loosening the Allen head that's inside of the mag releae button. Although the prince can function as a normal mag release if you do not tighten it for when you go outside of CA. Again I have o hands on with either one but that's my perception. Looking for more feedback, thanks again, keep it coming! :)
