Fiocchi Canned Heat is a great storage option

New for 2011, Fiocchi has just shipped over the first shipment of the Canned Heat ammo. The Fiocchi Canned Heat is 50 round individually canned ammunition for long term storage or easy transportation. Fiocchi's canned heat line of ammunition represents a leap forward in ammunition storage technology. This 223 Rem ammo comes packaged in a sealed enamel can which is designed to keep your ammunition dry for long-term storage preventing rust, electrolysis, and deterioration from ruining your investment. This ammo is perfect for use in your AR-15 to shoot at the range this weekend or to tuck it away somewhere saving it for a "rainy day".

I thought Georgia Arms had the copyright on 'Canned Heat' or did Fiocchi cut a deal with them?

Now, why did they make it round? Square boxes/cans are so much easier to stack.

Ease and cost of manufacturing and strength. Its not an accident most food cans are round.

Cost of manufacturing, I'd say. It does waste a lot of space though.
