Seeking Assistant(s) to BigCaliDave

Shapely legs are not a prerequisite, but a smile and easygoing personality are a must! General organizational skills and a good sense of humor are a plus!

This is Calguns after all!

If you're up to the task, please email/PM me.

Thanks, Liz

Steyrlp10 08-27-2010 6:46 AM

Don't Be Shy!

C'mon Calgunners, your skills are needed to help Dave out. He's working for YOU, but he can't do it alone. Unlike the rest of us located in the Bay Area, he needs you folks in the far north to lend a hand.

Who has some free time?

CitaDeL 08-28-2010 8:34 PM

Perhaps a little more specificity is necessary.

Organizational skills to organize what? Database information? Calendars/schedules? Dave's extensive collection of G.I Joe 'action figures'?

How much time would be necessary? Evenings? Weekends? 20-30 hours a week?

HAHA... I do not have a collection of GI-Joe!

I'm looking for someone up here that wants to help schedule Calguns official events, meets, etc. Also needing some help out at the coast! If you guys want to see some cool Calguns happenings around here, I'm gonna need someone to do the planning!

Thank you!

zfields 08-30-2010 8:47 PM

I can help out when I have time. Im super busy with the semester just starting up though.

What? Thats not what you told me in your PM! You were boasting a complete set with 'Kung Fu" Grip. I'm willing to help out. But I'm not setting up the diorama with the 'dolls' in action poses. (j/k)

I can make myself available weekend and evenings. With winter approaching I may have more time off if my employer places me on a truncated schedule. Let me know what you were hoping to achieve in the realm of Calguns events-we have touched bases on some ideas before. PM me or give me a call.

I know Dave can find something that you can help with -- and it's great that you're pursuing higher education! We need lots of smart Calgunners! ;)

Sounds like we have the ingredients to make a Calguns video and post it on You Tube... lol

zfields 09-01-2010 2:53 PM

Thanks for checking in with your offer. I noticed that you're in Sonoma, so that may be a bit of hike in regards to the NorCal Chapter. Dave's near Shasta in case you didn't know.

He's got a full schedule at the moment, so please be patient if you don't hear from him right away.

Thanks again!

Steyrlp10 09-10-2010 12:31 PM

Has The Position Been Filled?

Just checking to see if Dave has his Merry Band of Helpers in the Far, Far North ;)

Tenamaxtle 09-14-2010 7:20 PM

So, what does Dave need help with?

Are you located near Redding?

Dave is looking for people who are in or near his location who can help with C3 projects and whatever else he may be handling on behalf of Calguns.

Thank you for asking... Dave's really busy and could use some extra assistance.

bigcalidave 09-15-2010 5:20 PM

I want to set up some Calguns official events up here in the north state. A chico area meet, Redding area meet, Humboldt co meet. I know there are a lot of us up here, we need to get together!! I just don't have time to plan these things, and I'd like to make someone the official coordinator for events here. If you are good at planning events, have connections with the local shows / stores / events, we should talk!

Probably need one for Redding/Chico and one for Humboldt. My goal is to get two events per year at least in each of these areas, and hopefully a presence at a few of our local events (kool april nights, etc)

CitaDeL 09-15-2010 9:50 PM

PM sent.

deadcoyote 10-25-2010 7:08 PM

I'm always busy with work and baby but I am plugged into shooting up here so if you need somebody for Eureka/Humboldt I'd be glad to help. Let me know what I can do. I'm sure in the least I can get a bunch of LEO's to show up to something.

Dreaded Claymore 10-26-2010 1:18 AM

I sent a PM a while ago but haven't heard anything. I'm ready to help.

Steyrlp10 10-26-2010 9:54 AM

Thanks for being available to help Dave. I know he's been busy, but I also know he'll pick up your posts and will respond shortly. That's the reason he needs a hand since he's by himself up north while the Bay Area has a few C3s to pick up the slack whenever there's a project.

I appreciate the effort you're putting forth :)

luckylogger6 10-28-2010 12:32 PM

Im in the Redding area. Keep me posted and I can help out.

I appreciate you checking in too, thanks! Everyone, please don't be discouraged if Dave doesn't respond right away -- I'm sure it's only because he's on a hot date :D

HiRiseFMX 12-23-2010 10:14 PM

In Shasta County, close to Redding, few connections (I.e. Olde West Gun, Redding Gun Club) and willing to help lend a hand for a good cause.

Thank you for offering your services. I know Dave can always use an extra pair of hands to get things going.

Also in Redding, connected to two ranges and several social groups.

Very cool, thank you :)

I have a lot of free time on my hands with being unemployed. So I might or might not be able to help, I believe it depends on what you need help with.

Thank you for volunteering your time. Dave is swamped and is always appreciative of Calgunners stepping up to the plate. :)

mike_the_wino 02-23-2011 10:43 AM

Not in the 'far north' but I can pitch in around Santa Rosa, if need be.

bigfrank 04-08-2011 9:04 PM

I'm in Red Bluff, and would like to help when possible. You can contact me here or at the address in my profile.

JB-Norcal 04-21-2011 8:44 AM

Glad to see the "Superior CA" folks chiming in. I don't have a lot of extra time, but keep me in the loop, I've been known to be helpful.

brantly04 05-08-2011 11:02 PM

I'm in chico ... busy a lot of the time but can help if I have time

Deadred7o7 05-09-2011 11:51 PM

Eureka may be of some help

bigcalidave 05-10-2011 4:24 PM

Really looking for someone who is interested in putting together small to medium scale Calguns shoots in our various areas. I'd like to see an event out at the coast in Humboldt somewhere, maybe separate Chico / Redding events. They don't have to be big, but they need to be organized, planned and have good attendance! I can provide support, I just don't know enough about places we could have events.

brantly04 05-10-2011 5:44 PM

There is the pit in oroville

liveby,diebythesword 05-31-2011 5:24 PM

Just a question: Who helps with the Tahoe areas. I would like to help.

I'm sure we could set something up with Redwood Gun Club in Manila (4-5 miles from Eureka). They set up apple seed shoots and will pretty much let you do whatever you like as long as you can get a turnout over a dozen and reserve space in advance. The only other range is 13 miles up 299 from Arcata and It's private, Maybee someone else can chime in re: their availability.

bigcalidave 07-24-2011 2:45 AM

Guys, please email me at bigcalidave@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out, I seem to forget about this thread for months on end!

There are 270+ replies in the Nor Cal checkin thread, Does anyone want to make a list of the members? :)
