I've been looking around and there's talk of adding to OAL with a stock extension, then somehow rigging a mag lock device...?

Edit: Acutally, the specs say the Sub2000 has an OAL of 30" and a BBL that is 16.1"

If anyone gets info on this, specifically some details on locking the magazine, please PM me. If I find more, I'll post it here.

Thank you all for the information...please let me know if there is a mag lock for the sub-2000.

By the way Dean, I'm buying one of the four Hi-Point 9mm carbine from Aris at Triple A's

kel-tec has a stock extension for $11...just need a mag lock.

You could have it imported, upper separated from lower, then have a solar tactical fin/grip made for it.

If you don't like the stock extension, since I think you have to remove it for access, you could install a muzzle brake on it to meet the 30" OAL.

I do like how the carbine folds to 16" x7" which would fit in a laptop bag.

This is a rifle that LOTS of people would like to get their hands on in CA. Why not sell it to CA customers separated in two pieces as suggested above?

A fin-grip would be easy to install, and it looks like it would be uber-easy to modify the mag release into a BB if one wanted to maintain the PG.

I think we're looking to DD's for the Sub-2000 because you guys have been the leaders in providing the cool, affordable guns that we all want to CA. I think that sending the Sub-2000 in two pieces is comparable to how you guys send the WASR's with the PG detached.

Any chance you guys will be selling this rifle anytime soon?

Folks, I just got off the phone with Cold War Shooters, asking them about a bullet button/tool for the SUB-2000. They said that they are able to make the modification, and are happy to take orders! Woohoo!

Cheers,
R

I don't think this is an issue, unlike yugo underfolder AK's the SUB2000 cannot be shot in the short folded configuration unless of course you attach a slingshot to it:p . Look it up ask around.

I'll use this as a camping rifle on my backpack...shooting folded would not be an issue...just wanted to place inside of my pack.
