What did you reload today?

I did 200 .45 ACP. Cost me about $50.
My formula was off for the powder cost... was actually more like $37
:)

Chief-7700 10-17-2010 9:31 PM

700 rounds of 200 grain LSWC .45ACP

joelogic 10-17-2010 9:36 PM

1200 rounds of .223 and I am currently putting them on stripper clips. Talk about tedious. Just as bad as swaging.

$180 for the 1200 rounds. Maybe I should just start shooting 5.45.

stphnman20 10-17-2010 9:38 PM

Hey where can I get some stripper clips?

joelogic 10-17-2010 9:52 PM

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...light=stripper

Cheaper than dirt is cheaper but I know everyone here hates them. Buy other things to lessen the shipping pain.

What caliber? I have many 7.62 x 39. PM me if you need any.

J-cat 10-17-2010 10:35 PM

I loaded-up some 9mm, and played with some small primer 45 ACP. The primer pockets on these are cut too shallow. The primers stick out .010".

bruce381 10-17-2010 10:35 PM

laoded about 400 rounds of 45 acp and cast about 600, 200 gr swc Boolits.

Sheldon 10-17-2010 10:53 PM

Too lazy this morning to start up the Dillon 1050, but am loading up a bunch of 45 ACP right now. I got a couple thousand cast, but unsized or lubed bullets for $0.13 a pound some years back and am finally getting around to loading them up.

yakmon 10-18-2010 1:51 AM

500 62 gr .223, and 2 or 300 55gr.

I haven't had that problem with mine. I think some of mine need to be swaged, but the ones with un-crimped pockets worked great.

Tom Slick 10-18-2010 6:08 AM

.22-250 with 40gn sierra jhp and 41gn of H414. The powder weighs more than the bullet!

I have a few brands but most of it was Speer. Are you using CCI primers?

bootcamp 10-18-2010 8:36 AM

1000 rounds of .223. Cost me $175.

I've gotten faster with my 650 w/o trying. I can do about 100 rounds in 15-20 mins.

Yes, CCI. When I piced up the brass, I noticed the primer had backed out. I didn't think anything of it until I cleaned them and reprimed.

g17owner 10-18-2010 9:36 AM

about 200 rds of 185grn 45acp and 200 of 230 grn plated ball.

sleepur606 10-18-2010 11:37 AM

Didn't actually reload, but decapped somewhere around 2-3,000 rounds of .223 brass this weekend. On a single stage RCBS. :D

joelogic 10-18-2010 12:01 PM

I decapped and swaged 1000 pieces of .308 on a rock chucker when I first started and then I went out and bought a 650.

killshot44 10-18-2010 12:06 PM

160rds of 80.5gr Berger .223s...

Timbob55 10-18-2010 12:17 PM

20 rds of .480 Ruger. First batch of handloads. Can't wait to try them.

Cowboy T 10-18-2010 12:56 PM

100 rounds of .45 Colt "Magnum" loads. According to the chrono, these rounds are pushing a 250gr cast "boolit" at an average of 1,250 fps. Nighty-night, Bambi! :D

@Timbob55: congrats on your first handloads! If you're shooting .480 Ruger, then you really do need to handload. Welcome to the hobby! BTW, casting those big .475" slugs yourself will also save you a lot of dough, and it's not at all hard to do.

EDIT: Hey...this is post #308! Must be a good omen for the day! :-)

Strange. I haven't noticed anything like that. I didn't load them very hot though. I forgot what I loaded them with. I think 4.5gr of WST, under 230gr RN, I can look it up later.

I like the SPP 45's. I will be solely using them from now on. It's nice not having to change around the primer assembly on the press.

ireload 10-18-2010 5:16 PM

Loaded 400 rounds of .223 remington 62 grain FMJBTSC to add to my existing SHTF stash 2 days ago. I was going to load 100 rounds of 12 gauge "0" buckshot but sadly I did not have anymore buckshot. Damn! Time to cast some more tomorrow.

Harvey Mushman 10-18-2010 7:20 PM

I feel so low volume compared to you guys....
40 rounds of 30-06 hand cleaned, trimmed, primed and gently charged with RL-17 topped off with a nice shinny 165 gr Sierra BTSP

zfields 10-18-2010 7:31 PM

Nothing today, but tumbled a couple hundred .45acp brass to load up tommorow.

Need to find some damn 7.62x39 ammo though, my Saiga is hungry!

mif_slim 10-18-2010 7:36 PM

Today?
Cast my usual 10lbs a day of 40sw 185swc
Cranked out 600 40sw
440 556
2 7.62x54r and I got bored. Lol

z-bob 10-18-2010 7:38 PM

A handful of .45 Colts to test drive this new Forster Coax press and this new Rex-3 powder.

(the Coax is pretty slick. I won't know about the Rex load until tomorrow night, although it does pretty well in .38 S&W's)

Bigtwin 10-18-2010 8:24 PM

I tumbled about 75 misc. calibers. Loaded 5 rds. of 7.62x54r. Hopfully will get to the range this weekend to see any improvements!

LGB Loader 10-18-2010 9:10 PM

Assembled only 25 rounds of 223 REM for the bag gun.

joelogic 10-18-2010 9:14 PM

I only loaded 100 rounds of .223 today, got busy. Tomorrow I will finish the other 700.

Gio 10-18-2010 9:28 PM

Wait for it, now wait for it...I loaded 2 rounds of .223 today  Now how is that for being lazy? Hopefully I will get my brass tomorrow so I can swage it and then load it on Wed or Thur. I have about 250 cases that I just pulled out of the tumbler that need to be sprayed with sizing lube before loading them.

knucklehead0202 10-18-2010 9:40 PM

100 rds of 8mm-06. anybody top that as far as odd goes? 198gr fmjbt over 52.0 gr of BL(C)2 in mixed military brass.
