Here's my pre-Remington Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited in 45 Colt with the 24" barrel. It was made in 2000. I have since put on the Skinner Express peep sight, i love it. Its hard to miss a target, geat accuracy. I will NEVER sell this

1976 336SC. Took the 24" bbl down to a bit over 16", put a limbsaver on the stock, and 2-7 Timberline on.
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3321/3...1f4ee72bec.jpg http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2597/3...a17c56967f.jpg It shoots nice! And the wife's 1894 .357 w/Burris FasFire is too much fun! |
I want an 1895sbl in .357 but they don't make it. I like the pistol style grip with the big lever.
|
Crappy pic, awesome rifle. Marlin 1895 in .45-70.

Winchester 1892 Case-Hardened Sporter in 44 Remington Magnum
New, never fired. This is a discontinued model that I scrounged for on the internet and finally found one from a Dealer in Texas who had a Distributor in Massachusetts with only 1 left. Took me 6 weeks to get it!
Manufacturer specifications show it holds 12+1 rounds. Mine holds 13 in the tube + 1 in the chamber for 14. Not too bad. Fit and finish is EXCELLENT. I hope it shoots as well as the F&F and the look! http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...-Copy-Copy.jpg http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...-Copy-Copy.jpg http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...06077-Copy.jpg http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...06083-Copy.jpg http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...06074-Copy.jpg http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/z...06088-Copy.jpg |

:oji: I bought the last 94 they had in their SFV store late in the day they closed for business forever. The store was a huge mess from front to back with paper, packing material and ripped-open merchandise everywhere. The box and manual for the gun were missing so I got the price knocked down a bit. We wrapped the gun in two brown paper shopping bags so it was packaged when we left the store with it. I filled out the paperwork but judging by the employees attitudes I suspect that everything went in the trash at closing time. Cash and carry...those were the days! |
Speaking of levers, my wife was going through some boxes of hand-me-downs and found an old postcard she thought I'd like. Open the picture in a new tab to see it in large size.
It says, "12/10 This was the second day of season in Clearfield Co., Jack" Pretty cool, eh? http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...ason1906_2.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...ason1906_1.jpg |

Here is my wife's Rossi .357, and she has a Ruger Speed Six to go with it.

Notice how almost all of them have (true) rifles; not carbines. I guess those guys didn't mind hoofing it through the bush with a 24" or even 26"+ barrel. My kind of dudes. ;)

Browning 1886 rifle.......Took me years to find one at a decent price. The day I picked it up a guy was offering to buy it! The movie Tom Horn got me into finding this. I know the movie used a 1876 45-60, but this is close enough!
