Good gun course for a newbie in the IE?
Hey guys, I'm in Lake Arrowhead, and I am currently waiting on my first gun to arrive, a Reminton 870 express. I have shot guns before, but only shot a shotgun once, and am not real familiar with the basics. I know the common sense rules, like keeping your finger off the trigger, and never pointing it at anyone (loaded or not)... What I am looking for is a place in the IE that teaches gun (or shotgun) basics courses. Price is not really a concern, but of course, the cheaper the better. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Stars and Stripes in Yucaipa has several classes including weapon safety and weapons maintenance among others. That's pretty close for you

NRA shotgun course is an excellent class for a beginner. They go over safety, proper technique, cleaning, etc. Looks like there is one in Idyllwild and one in LA.
