Some commentator this morning said having Blomberg's image as the face of gun control is a gift to gun owners. No sweets, no plastic, no trans fat, no guns. Daddy means well.

Sounds like the voters of NYC need to infringe on his privilege of collecting a paycheck and vote that kook out of of office.

When I read this article earlier today I thought that the people of NY had more testosterone then they obviously do putting up with this idiot over the years.

Dictator Bloomberg has never met a liberty he liked. We are far too stupid to think for ourselves.

How is this any different than the view that convicted felons can't exercise their rights after their punishment has been served? Or that mentally ill - according the the government's definitions - can't exercise their rights? Or that the government can infringe on our rights to keep and bear the types of arms that we want such as full auto, DDs, etc.? Bloomberg is expressing something that many people are too afraid to admit: that infringements on our rights are acceptable. Not very unlike many "pro gun" people.

Thanks Bloomberg for the wakeup call. He and the President are starting their last push on gun control and now I will start mine. I wrote out and mailed a check to the NRA-ILA today and resumed emailing, calling and writing.

It's not any different than that view and I do not agree with it either. Rights are for everyone.

He definitely could. Crazy people like him are great at selling an image and after Clinton, W, and Obama I think Americans are by and large too gullible to realize who they are actually voting for.

He just wants to save us from ourselves....

And conversely, there are times when the people should PUSH BACK HARD when government infringes.

The only thing new about a fascist saying that it is fine for the government to infringe on your freedom is that one had the honesty to say what he is about.

I'll give some props to Bloomberg on that one - now let's hope he gets booed off the stage.

Bloomberg is a strange beast for America, a filthy rich fascist. Most of the filthy rich are too busy spending their money to exercise their God complex. Not our Bloomie. What a tool. I think we should infringe on his freedom to use his billions for nefarious, criminal ends.

I posted a thread in OT about how bloomberg was quoted saying he doesn't know how we're going to be able to keep our privacy in the coming years. Mainly talking about domestic drone use. This guy is Everything Americans should hate.
