mak 90 milled receiver parts kit ?

Hello,
This is my 1st thread/question so please don't chew me up if I have done it incorrectly.
I am looking into purchasing a milled receiver parts kit (mak-90) for a build.
Can someone tell me if the barrel on these come threaded to the original milled receiver?
If I purchase a milled receiver - then I would need to have that threaded to accept the barrel correct? these have to be timed correct?
Thanks in advance!

AK barrels aren't threaded to the receiver...

They are press fit into a trunnion which is riveted to the receiver.

This true of stamped receiver. Does that apply to the original milled receivers? Or were those screwed on?

Some milled receivers are threaded while others are press in. Non-threaded are easier to headspace since you do not have to time barrel to the reciever.

Do you plan to buy your reciever from CNC Warrior?

Mak-90s were all press fit trunnions.

I don't know if I'd make a sweeping statement like that on anything the that came in from china in that time frame ;)

There were a lot of sub variants and design iterations.

Just look at the trunnion for a barrel pin.

How difficult is it to to time the barrel to the receiver, especially if the the barrel is not virgin? Has anyone completed the build?

I have a Russian Type III with a threaded barrel...
I may send it out or maybe not...

My buddy in AZ (soon to be in CA) has a MAK90 for sale. It's coming to CA next week as a parts kit if it doesn't sell before then. It's a press fit barrel. I'll post it here if need be, and let you know if you're really interested.

I'd be interested in the Mac90

I have received some insight on this and was advised that it takes some precision tools to head space w threaded barrel! It was put together by a person originally so its safe to say it can be done again.... I have not started the build yet - was researching it here.
