I know you weren't asking me, but ill answer anyway. Mesa tactical makes the BEST shotgun stock out there. I have the LEO with the shock absorber thing. I can dump 6 '3 magnum 00 buck on a target very quickly with absolutely no problem.

Op, nice shotty man.

I like the second set up. VFG's are silly looking on a shotgun. Keep it as is!

huggybear 11-04-2011 10:01 PM

so i ended up just going to wood, its simple, slick, and it's a classic look.

As it should be...all that crap on the forend is useless and would only get in the way...very little has changed in the 870s used by LEOs on a day to day basis for a reason.... Plenty of 870s still in service older than me.... If it ain't broke....

i had my uncle who has his own furniture painting business refinish a mismatching stock set in exchange for some labor. He did an awesome job and even he was surprised how good it came out, in fact the wood forend in the original post is the same one in the updated post.

You're forgiven. We all have a tactical moment once in our lives. ;)

As said, the would is very classic! Good job, nice rig.

It looks like a modified Magpul MOE on a Mesa Tactical (or similar) stock kit.
