Take it into a dealer to get it appraised. you can possibly get $800-$3000 depending on the grade, condition and buyer.

I paid $400 for mine, but it wasn't nearly as old as yours is. Mine was a 9.5 out of 10. Beautiful stock, no dings or scratches.

I have a 52 in 70-80% condition as well and to me it's worth $1000 but reality says $500-$600 Not worth selling to me.

I saw a 85% sold at LGS 2 years ago for $700. Mid to late 1950s. I'd had bought it myself had I:

Saw it first,
Knew what it was,
Knew by now I would want one too,
and, had the money.
