Its just a simple cheap 250$ 4 camera DVR system you can connect to your internet router from costco. Its made by Q-see and has connections for 8 cameras buy only comes with 4. It has a 500 GB hard drive and can range from a week to a few weeks depending on quality, cameras and settings. I recently upgraded to a 8 camera system for 399$ also Qsee brand. Once you connect it to your home internet router you can use a app called IP Cam Viewer which you can see your cameras from your phone or tablet computer etc anything that has access to the internet. |
That sucks, I'm sorry bro..
Wait is that uncle Tyrone?... holy crap,I thought he was still in jail... Jk |
Sorry to hear, very unfortunate.
Did they take anything else or was it targeted towards the firearms only? |
If its just firearms, then it might be a friend or acquaintance. I'm just saying.
|
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. You can bet I'll be voting no on Prop 36. This is the type of "minor crime" that proponents of this initiative are talking about. I don't care how much it costs, I want to incarcerate those petty thieves forever.
Who knows, maybe Lady Luck will smile on you and you'll get your guns back. |
dont know these DBs.
4 BMJ's my DVR caught 2 faces, they cut the cameras but the DVR is here. Police took the pics of the faces. Neighbor saw them jump over my fence into their car around 10:30am into their car and take off. He didnt call the cops arg.... |
So the Serial is MPF 20XX ? for the M&P and what about the RIA?
|
This crap boils my blood man. I hate theives!
|
Take all my stuff but not my guns!
Never steal a man's guns. I hope they get 20 years for that crap. |
More details would be nice.
Did they take them from your safe or? Alarm on the house? |
Unfortunate, though ever so common.. I understand any advice is now a little too late, but get a dog if your residence allows. & don't just lock 'em up; hide 'em. Hope our boyz in blue can catch these horse sh*ts and return your firearms to ya.
|
Ya we wanted a dog for a while didnt get around to getting one.
No alarm but will get one now. the two pistols were in a small gunvault dlx by bed side. |
Terrible stuff man. I would be stressed as hell as I imagine you are..
And your neighbors........Sigh. |

Thanks for the info. Sorry about your loss. |

If they knew where the cameras were to cut them, it would appear that your place was cased before the burglary. There sadly isn't a defense against a well prepared crook with the time to do advance homework. |
it sucks, hope they get caught.
|
10:30am is an odd time to rob a home, no? Unless they are familiar with your routines? Or maybe it's the ideal time...I don't know.... If you don't mind me asking, single family home? Apartment complex? Rough area?
|
Damn man, that sucks. Hope you get them back w/o any kind of issues.

Around here the burglars throw a rock through a window. They then wait about 15 minutes. If there is no response from the inside or outside (dogs, alarms, cops & etc) they just walk inside and take their time. If they are caught throwing rocks its a vandalism charge and they get a ticket and walk. Others ring the door bell and ask something stupid if someone answers the door. Most residential burgs are during the daytime.
|
Sorry to hear about that, really sucks. 10:30am seems like a normal time, they would rather burglarize a home while the residents are at work than when they're sleeping at night. My car was recently broken into between 6:30-7:00PM on a weekday... I had been outside for an hour, came inside to eat for 30min, and while I was inside someone cleaned out the vehicle right in front of my house (thank god I didn't have any guns in the trunk). THAT seems like a weird time to me, and I'm kicking myself for leaving the blinds closed in the dining room or I would've seen them.
Hopefully they get what's comin to em. Also, dog>alarm, no doubt in my mind. |
Crappy neighbor man, good job on having the DVR.
I added some cheapy IP cams to the front of my house, get emails with pix whenever there's movement on the driveway & porch. (wife thinks I'm nuts) |
GL with the find!!!

Somewhat off topic, but has the CA state DROS database ever been compromised?
I ask because of THIS story in Austrailia, where a very specific rash of burglaries against gun owners in New South Wales took place. The government of course denied the possibility of the Gun Registry being compromised, but check out this quote: One robbery victim had eight guns stolen within months of being audited by police and his new address added to the registry. "I was audited in May last year and robbed in October. I had eight weapons stolen from a secure safe," the victim said. I live in an estate of 70 homes and was the only place robbed. To me it was obvious I was targeted with information from somewhere. Its not impossible that a crooked cop or city/state employee is selling or passing on DROS information to the wrong side of the law. It may also be the case that the bad guys simply hacked into the DROS system and stole the data digitally. In either event if a burglar had DROS information available, they'd have a literal map for exactly which residents to hit and what "payday" they can expect in the gunsafe. Unfortunately , there's no way to prove the database was compromised before the OP's burglary. Even if it did happen I doubt the CA government would be in a hurry to fess up to security breach, and they'd be even less forthcoming if a city employee were passing on gun owner data to criminals. |
Newer home development. been crimes here and there since we lived here.
we lived here just about 3 years now. A house at the top of the street, they went to a xmas party, 15 mins later ADT called and sent cops, when they got home everything was gone. Usually these criminals case out the area check like one said above, knock or throw a rock etc. We do want a dog and its going to be soon probably also alarm system. I so wished the neighbor called the cops. |
Surveys among those who have been convicted of burglary have showed time and time again a large dog is the number one deterrent. Alarm systems don't concern them much, generally out within minutes.
Scum of the earth, sorry for your loss. |
That sucks! I agree with the others, I hope the perps rot in prison and your property is returned in as good of condition as it left.
|
|
They took that, too? Did it have plates in it? Wow.....D:
|
lev 4 multi hit from bpme.com
i slept for a few hours but cant sleep now because im still angry. |
Sorry to hear this bro.
Is this the new developments by the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station? Lived there for a little bit, always knew it was sketchy. |
I like the guys glass earings hahaha. I hope they slip and fall on your guns (fingers crossed for an A.D.)
|
your neighbors made a foolish mistake to not call the police!
|
Put their pictures up around town. Sorry to hear man
|
So sorry to hear that.
Hope they catch those goons and get their time behind bars. We don't need that in our community. |

Im so so so sorry, You should Facebook there faces and spread the word!!!!!!!!! I'm praying for you bro, I cant stand this type of thing. |
sorry to hear bro...hope they catch those scumbags. when ever I leave my house with my firearms I always check first and make sure nobody walking around, driving by or looking out their window , so that I know nobody watching me load/unload firearms from my house/vehicle. people plot out there so watch out. Hope you get it back!!!
|
A camera out close to the street might give us a license plate number as well. It's obvious these Perps will jump a fence and roam around during the day. Kind of scary. Expect and prepare for another hit. Dig the holes first; have two tarps ready. Use bait. :43: (j/K)
