Any more approval letters received from Nov/Dec applications ?

When I turned mine in on 12/9, (one week ago today) the word was that I'd hear from them around the end of January, since their next committee meeting was the middle of January. So basically, nothing yet! :toetap05:

Thats interesting because when I had my interview on Nov 24 they told me I would probably see a letter around the end of Dec because they wouldnt have a committee meeting until mid Dec.

Looks like they had the committee early because of the holiday. Turned in my paperwork Nov 18, got letter 15 Dec , it was dated 9 Dec.

I was told end of Dec too.

Just got my letter today. Approved! Had my interview on November 17th.

thats what I wanted to see. Im gettin excited to check my mail, But you guys were still a week ahead of me. Hopefully the committee wasnt with in that week

Still no letter, I had a friend get his letter today and he had his interview after me.

Got my permit today :)

I received my letter today from a mid-November appointment.

Got approved from late Nov interview.:clap:

Congrats Samonya! Now go get the rest of your requirements fulfilled so you can hurry up and wait out those last few, painful weeks waiting for the postal carrier to bring you your permit. :punk:

After submitting my application in mid Oct. I got the livescan paperwork
on Nov. 3. FBI cleared on 11/4, and DOJ sent results to Amber on 11/23.
Here it is just a few days short of a month and I have not heard a word.
Is this normal or am I Just one in a big crowd. I'm thinking maybe my
Evil Twin had a run in with the law that he forgot to mention. Comments??

Be patient Im 6+ mo into the process still no paper. No one waited longer than I for interview or first letter or second letter or DOJ responce to Sac. Im on the home strech and this all started the first of June. Things are getting better.

I had my interview Dec 1 and received my approval letter on Dec 18. The approval letter was actually dated 12-9-10. Going for livescan tomorrow and to call around to setup training

Turned in my application on December 1st, received my approval this past week. Going to get my LiveScan tomorrow. :)

I am on my wait for the permit to show up, man it's kicking my butt waiting for this stupid piece of rice paper.

Just got back from getting my livescan. Quick and easy process. I was surprised that I was the only one there at 9:00am when they opened up.

In general, I think the Right People here would like these sorts of updates for Sacto to be posted in the thread at: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=352779

(Each county has its own thread over there.)

That they can keep track of how the process is working for everyone and be able to quickly see when things change, either good or bad, rather than having to go thru a bunch of possible related threads in different subforums.

No I'm closest to the Marconi office, so that's where I went.

I was at florin at 9:00 am . Only 3 other people there. Its as quiet as a funeral home in there.

I was at the Marconi Station at 8:01am. I felt like a moron since I was the only one there waiting. Even when they opened at 9:00am no one else showed up.

Got my approval letter on friday (17th), and like you others it was dated on the 9th. What's up with that? Anyways, glad this next step is moving along.

Livescan is not the bottleneck, I showed up at 9:30 and I was the first to sign in.

Cool, I was wearing blue jeans and a blue sweater. I left a little after u came in.

My appointment was Nov 18th, received my approval letter Dec 17th, got my Livescan Dec 18th. Waiting............again..............:).......... ...............happily.........

How long is the DOJ clearance taking once the Livescan results are back? An earlier post said 30-90 days. Is that still the case? Anyone?

Mine took a little less then 30 days, around 26 or so .. Did mine on 11/14 got my letter back 12/11

Do you actually get a letter regarding the livescan sent to your home, or do they just send it to Amber at the Sheriffs?

Only thing you get is the 2 copies the SO gives you back. Amber/Sac SO will send you a letter when they have your results.

The whole process took me from email 07/09/10 to Pemit in the mail 11/23/10.

I just picked up a huge one, if it doesnt fit in this damm thing I give up..

I trimmed the permit to fit my wallet.. I hope that's not a violation! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Nah, as long as the whole permit is there with all the info I cant see the problem.

Can you laminate your permit, or use a copy of it, so that it doesn't turn to dust while in your wallet?

The License comes laminated in Sacramento County... And I just got mine. It took 139 days to get mine... I could have had it a few weeks ago, but most of the delay was on my part.

Just got a call from the wife. She said my wallet is probably big enough :D
