Well at least she shaved a couple of days before your date. Her butterfly shirt just adds the perfect amount of feminity

New to CalGuns

Hey everyone, Just got my head done from swimming after the NRA Member's Council meeting on Saturday and finally got myself up and running on here. Am new to CalGuns but not new to firearms - have been shooting since I was 10. I am a Life Member of the NRA and a founding member and Member of the Board of Women of Higher Caliber (a new Women's Gun Club here in SoCAL).

I had the chance to hear Kestryll and the gang speak at the Member's Council Conference this weekend and had to come and join here as a result.

Thanks for letting me drag on here and am looking forward to hearing from all y'all.

Kestryll 07-28-2008 8:40 AM

Hi there and Welcome aboard!

That conference was definitely a great event, glad to see you came by the forum!

Wellcome!
Hope you bring more women with you as you are all important to this sport too.
I hope you enjoy chatting with the other members here.

More Women

I'm sure we will eventually bring more women to CalGuns. We were announced as a possibility in early April and as of Friday night we have 30 paid members with an additional 5-6 putting together the bucks.

We have had about 70 women attend our monthly meetings so far and we are in the process of filing for 501c(3) status, and looking into Women on Target, affiliating with CRPA, etc.

We will be a training, live fire/competition and mentoring organization.

Maybe Yes Maybe No

I have been interested in finding a firearms forum. But you may not be so glad eventually, as I tend to be a blabbermouth.

You'll fit right in then! ;)

As far as bringing more women to the site they are always welcome.
One of the ideas I've been looking at is a dedicated Ladies Sub-Forum, it seems I may need to move forward with this. :)

bruceflinch 07-28-2008 10:13 PM

Ladies & Texans are welcome. Thanks for joining us. :)

Blacky 07-28-2008 10:20 PM

Welcome to the forum we all had a good time at the meeting. Kestryll and Gene did an outstanding job of getting the message out about Calguns. This is a great place to be.
