Is there a model # for this? Have you had the chance to use the gs1000? If so, how does it compare to the unit you're selling? I have a gs1000 but thinking about getting another unit.

Wow, those are some nice drivers helping that one car out, including you. Might be interested as soon as I find more info about this.

Hey there, I did take a look at the gs1000. However the added features wasn't something i needed, and at the time i was looking at buying 15 of these at once. Total of 7 cars i needed to do in the household/girlfriends car so that price tag adds up quickly. I saw some reviews on it, and quality wise, even though advertised at 1080p, was not a big difference.

I would recommend to those of you in future similar situations, STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE until CHP or cops show up. You never know who's the crazy behind the wheel. I made sure i stayed put in my car until chp showed up.
Let me know if you have any questions about it. I've spent quite some time playing with similar units before pulling the trigger myself. :)

Dash Cam 2 7 13 - YouTube

My cousin's truck that i put this camera in. When he did the video conversion, it went to "1080" resolution hence the 1080 option on youtube. It's really 720p.

Windshield mount? Is this legal in California?

At certain locations of your windshield so it does not obstruct the drivers view, yes, it is still legal. The location i chose to mount it on my windshield , if i got pulled over, and the cop decides to cite me on it, yes, he has the right to do so, and i'm aware, but mounting it high up provides the best video footage should something go wrong. My passengers or myself usually put the window visor down to block it as if the unit isn't there anyways. Does it make it legal, no, but at least i know in case of an accident, i have myself covered.

They are invisible to the naked eye. See below for IR lights and night vision. 211 robbery clip has actual audio recording as well.
