While the security people at XBox Live caught it quickly and refunded the account already it's been a really long day going through everything and anything that the credit cards were possible related to.

The handguard got hot and the gas tube was burning hot, unbearable to hold on as I traditionally grip the gun since I run an Ultimak Gas tube.

I had an untouched case of 1000rds that I had gotten from Natchez awhile back, so I simply re-used the box that they sent it to me in, took 250rds out of the case and filled the empty spaces with packing material.

So I take the box to the UPS store and the girl behind the counter asks me what's in it. I told her it's handgun ammunition.

She tells me it's illegal to ship ammo. I tell her no it's not, this ammo was shipped to me.

Then she tells me UPS doesn't ship ammo. I point to the box and the leftover remnants of the original shipping label that says "UPS ground" and tell her "UPS ships ammo, they shipped this box of ammo to me." I tell her it just has to ship ground, and it needs an ORM-D sticker. She tells me "we don't do that here."

She gets on the phone with some other uninformed person, and smugly tells me "see, I was right. We don't ship ammo."

I asked "well I know UPS ships ammo, so does it just need to be shipped from a hub?" She's talking to the other person on the phone and says "yes, it needs to be shipped from a hub, and it needs to be sent to a firearms dealer where your friend can pick it up." I told her "I'm not a firearms dealer and this ammo was shipped to me..." She says "well it has to go to a firearms dealer so you'll have to take it to the hub and make arrangements for your friend to pick it up from a firearms dealer.

At this point I was starting to get frustrated with her ignorance of the law and was thinking to myself "ok, whatever..."

I left and took the package to Fedex and they shipped it no questions asked.

My question is, is there something I can print out that I can take with me in the event that I get hassled over this in the future? I searched around on the UPS site for a bit but couldn't find much dealing with ammo. There's a page on shipping firearms, but not ammo. I know that certain counties have restrictions on shipping ammo, but this is not one of them.
