I put together my first OLL last nite.
Went almost perfect because of the kick A@# instructions on this site.

BUT

I lost my buffer retainer.
The spring sprung and that sucker flew somewhere in my garage, after 2 hours of crawling around I gave up looking for it.
I found the spring but need a Buffer Retainer ASAP! I want to shoot this thing this weekend and the only thing holding me back is the retainer.
Anyone know of any shops local to Pittsburg/Concord area that would carry LPK?

Thanks for all your help.

My experience is that if you really want to shoot it this weekend, a trip to Irvington Arms in Fremont is in your immediate future.

That happened to me when I was switching my buffer tube. I spend 1-1/2 hours looking for it and another 1/2hour putting everything back in place in my garage.

It sprung on me 3 different times. The first two I managed to find the pieces, the 3rd one, my garage ate I can only assume.

Thanks for your help guys. I WILL be shooting this weekend !

It's probably stuck to the bottom of your shoe!

Or maybe it flew into your shirt pocket!

I grew up in a house with long shag carpeting (good riddance, '70's!) and I lost more stuff in there - - plastic model parts, BB's, pellets, etc.

Where are you located? There might be a shop closer to you.

This is why its important for your first time building an AR to lock yourself in the bathroom and if anything goes flying it will not go that far.See problem solved...:chris:

I've had small springs land on my head and I had no idea. I have semi spikey hair. I was looking all over the carpet because I knew it couldn't have gone far...lol. I feel stupid.

You can try calling BullsEye (one of the Calguns sponsors) in San Rafael or Castro Valley to see if they have them in stock. It's probably closer to your house than say Fremont.
