What are the different options as far as attainable sight blocks for AK builds?

The only sight block one I've found is this one:

What is the threading on the barrel side for? And is that plunger set something exclusive to that particular piece? I haven't seen mention to anything like that in my reading on converting a Par-1.

Obviously, there is the standard gas only look.

AFAIK stock barrel wont work for a conversion.

The GunWiki write up says it "just" needs a whole drilled in it for semi-auto, regarding the barrel, obviously other stuff needs to be added. Still, seems odd that the sight blocks are only available on complete guns, I can't be the only one that thinks they look a little better than the same old thing.

the PAR-1's have a romanina krink gas block/front sight combo pre-installed, all you need to do is add a gas port into the barrel, and mabye add a gas piston.
