I shot my Stag 2HT upper today at Project 2000 in El Cajon. All the talk about Stag's past quality and reliability issues made me want to see for myself if affected my upper.

I had less than an hour before the range closed at 5pm. I sprayed Break Free into the BCG until it was dripping wet, then shot 200 rounds of Wolf Military Classic 55gr. FMJ without a single jam or malfunction. I noted before I shot my upper that there was red bits of sealer around the bolt face; maybe Stag uses Wolf to test fire before sending out.

All my rounds were shot standing up on the 50 yard range, since the range was about to close I was shooting about one round a second and mostly observing my rifles performance than concentrating on the target with the A.R.M.S. #40L BUIS.

The rifle was HOT, but the Sampson Star-C M4/203 FF rail and VFG kept the gun cool to the touch. I took it home in the range bag and it was still super warm, like it was in a pizza hot bag.:D

Rifle specs:

A.R.M.S. #40L BUIS
DoubleStar STAR-15 lower
DPMS LPK
Gun Show VFG
Houge rubber grip
Stag M4 buttstock assembly

Man, this gun is a SWEET shooter! Light, snappy, ergonomics fit like a glove; makes for a super FUN experience. If it wasn't neutered via the Bullet-Button, it'd be my go to gun.

Glad you enjoy your new rifle! I want a Hogue grip so badly.

Nice glad you're enjoying it. I'm putting my 2HT on my lower on Tuesday. Going to give it a try next weekend.

I have the same gun but replaced the buttstock with the Magpul CTR and a Bobro VFG. I am happy with my STAG but I get better accuracy using none WOLF brands ammo like FIOCHHI for 100 yards and aimpoint 3x magnifier and model M3 scope. Congratulations.

Stag 2HT does not have a permanently attached muzzle.

Stanze,

Nice rifle, bro. I am proud of you!!!

I've an extra brand new YHM220, it is the NEW design, it is SOLID and it is much better than the old one. This new one is as solid as the LaRue (they probably looked at the LaRue one and fix their old one). Since I am using the LaRue LT110, I have one up for sale. Let me know if you want it. Again, it is brand new, never mounted.

It will give you lower 1/3 co-witness.
