06 FFL finally

I applied around December, had the interview in February. So a little more than four months start to finish.

For Brando, it was pretty easy. They need to see that you have a business license and that it is legal where you live.


I didn't get it for reloading, although seeing all the people on the board wanting to get someone to do it, I have been tempted. I'm worried about the laws and liability.

I didn't realize it initially. Even if the ammo is inert, if you manufacture the bullet or the brass for sale, you need an FFL as per the gun control act of 68.

Can you elaborate on this? Are you talking about commercial manufacturing?

With all the people at CG.net that cast lead bullets and sites like Corbin (http://www.corbins.com/) (for making Jacketed bullets), I was under the impression you could make your own.

As an aside, that's an interesting bullet design you've got there.

Someone I care dearly about :innocent: allegedly made some bullets like that (though not nearly as good looking) using copper jackets, #8 shot and epoxy. Plays hell on a pumpkin out of a .357 Mag.

I thought as long as it wasn't loaded, it wasn't manufacturing ammunition.
