Looking to put a new stock on an old 700 30-06. I found online a new factory 700 synthetic, are these any good? The price aint bad, just don't wanna buy something junky. So please, if you have this stock or any insight, could you let me know.

I have one on my 700. I like mine. Some like wood some like synthetic stocks.
The synthetic is like an all weather stock. You don't worry about dent's or scratches.
It's all in what you like.

I put one on my 700BDL. The factory stock developed a sizeable chip near the safety so I later bought the Remington synthetic stock at a gunshow. Having the recoil pad on the synthetic is nice compared to the factory BDL which did not have one. 30-06 is not known as a hard recoiling round but you started to feel it as you approached the 40 round mark.

Remy uses several different synthetic stocks so you'll have to be a little more specific. I have a 700 xcr tactical in .308 which comes with a Bell & Carlson synthetic and I love it. Great feel, light, strong, and the recoil pad is so thick and fluffy I could shoot all day-

I've also shot a 700P and its got a nice stock but definitely different from my XCR. Looking around their catalog it seems they also use Hogue and H.S. Precision synthetic stocks. Regardless of which you get I think you'll be satisfied with its performance, but if you can I'd recommend stopping by your neighborhood store and feeling up all the synthetic 700s to see which one "feels" the best to you.

If your talking about the plastic synthetic stock, it's useless unless your shooting .223 The stock will bend on you especially on a 30-06.

Ya, i'm looking at the factory plastic stock. Now I know its nothing like the HS I have on my 700VS, just wanted to know if it was a good enough for the $45. Pistolpete75, how does the stock bend......like off sand bags or? Thanks

I love the HS Precision stocks on my Rem 700 PSS and LTR rifles.

maybe this might interest you, it has a limbsaver recoil pad, and i believe this is the hogue rubber over mold model. Price isn't bad either.
