Specifically in Florence... I'll be up there for 3 days in mid June.. anyone know of any gunshops there?... I'll be definately bringing my C&R just in case I find anything interesting :D

In Eugene, The Barons Den, IIRC, indoor range, nice big shop. You can rent a F/A Thompson with 2 stick mags for like $35.

Lastly: If you want cheap ammo, Outdoor Marksman (the west coast mail-order dealer and distributor for Miwall) has a walk-in store in Salem: no sales tax (Oregon!), and no shipping charges. I'm going to go there in a pickup truck.

Oh really? As luck would have it I'll be in Amity from Sunday - Wednesday. Perhaps I'll pick up some goodies!!
