I have the same question. Mine shoots 50Ae all day long no problems (if you hang on to the thing).
When it comes to the 44Mag, I've yet to find a load that it likes. I was thinking on trying the heaviest bullet that I can find.

240+p makes mine cycle nicely.

My buddy has a Grizzly in 45 winmag, same idea. Store bought stuff did not work very well, many stovepipes. I made him up a batch of what would be +P and the action cycles just fine. These big heavy autos need hot rounds to move the slides.

23gr of H110 under a 240gr JHP ought to be about a standard 44 mag load.

I loaded some with 23.5 grains of H110 (240 gr FMJs) they mostly worked, I might try increasing to 23.6 or 23.7 for my next session.
For factory, Magtech works best for my Eagle.

23.5 is a HOT load.
I know because I used to shoot that from a 10" Contender for Sillouette.

The best one i have use and wont jam up is 300 grain Hornady HP/XTP with 18.5gr of H110 very accurate.

44 magnum loads
24.0 grains H110 w/ 240 grian XTP
28.0 grains H110 w/ 200 grain XTP
These two loads works flawlessly in my Deagle. Lots of flame also:D

Just checking.
Speer recommends using CCI Large Pistol Magnum Primers with H110 and
W296.
Was wondering if I could use my Winchester Large Pistol Primers with Speer Bullets?
Building up some loads for my Sensitive Desert Eagle
I'm having cycling trouble with factory loads. I think the majority of the problem is that there has only been 150 rounds gone through it and the slide is just starting to loosen up.

The powder you use will determine the powder. I have loaded H110, 2400 and AA#9. I liked the AA#9 ( 19.5 with a CCI 300LP ) Not a super hot load but it cycled the action fine. 23 to 23.5 is good with H110 and I didn't care for the 2400. I usually shoot Nosler 240 SJHP's or Hornady XTP's.

I have a box of 240gr Speer GDFP with loads of H110 from 22.5 - 24 grains that I have yet to shoot.
Load-x has a 240gr load at 3500fps that has not jammed for me in about 75 rounds. Don't but their 50ae though. It's too weak and jams about 25% of the time in my gun.
