The new scope is coming along right on schedule and we now have all the specs and drawings which I will try to get up in the next few days.
As you may already know, it is a 3-15x50 with a single turn ccw elevation knob offering 23.5 MIL of elevation adjustment in 0.1 MRAD increments and total internal travel of the optic will be 35 MIL (120.33 MOA) with an illuminated Gen 2.
The illumination and side parallax will be incorporated in the knob assembly as well as an adjustable diopter with an external lock ring to prevent any movement once adjusted. The main tube diameter will be 34mm and have a retail price of $2500.

We are now taking deposits of $1000 to secure one of the first couple hundred units which are scheduled for delivery in the fall.

Cool. But the $2500 price tag is a bit steep. For that price I could go for the tried and proven USO or SB.

There is one thing to think about....... S&B are built (finished assembled) here for the USMC by THEM. The premier and S&B both have the same glass....
I wouldnt hesitate buying one of these. These kill kick *** just as premiers leupold conversions, and S&B conversions.

I won't spend money on a Premier after the Leupy fiasco. If I want to spend that much on a scope I'll go down to Buena Park, see Megan and get a scope.

For that money you might as well get an S&B. Just doesn't seem to make since to me.

To each their own....

I may or may not go with one depending on what the durability and usability of the glass is.

Leupold, USO, and NF are all club sponsors so right now my dollars go to them first....support the folks that support me type of deal.

But if these scopes are the shizzzzzzzzzle...2500 retail meaning street price should be in the 2200 to 2300 range.

Not bad.

We'll have to see how these compare to the NF FFP. I don't think PR assembles the S&B's anymore after their falling out. Rumor had it that it was because of QC issues on PR's end. But that was just the buzz when Tubb broke the news over on SH. I don't know if PR does any kind of warranty work anymore for S&B.

If the NF is in the 1700-1800 area, it will be the big winner.

Reading the post at SH it looks like an interesting piece. I just don't see paying over $2000 for an unproven system yet. There was a thread on SH where a buy beat the living crap out of his S&B and it was fine. Right now I couldn't see buying one.

I'll wait to see how it turns out after a few years of them being on rifles.

That thread over on SH was crazy. Seems I started a sh** storm.

Looks like I won't be getting one.

2500.00 + 600.00 for a NON Lit MOA reticle.

3100.00

NAH...going with a 5-22X NPR1 FFP from NF for my next scope

Or a USO.

I think I'm going to go this route too, just with the MLR and mrad turrets. When the whole fallout happened with PR and S&B, Jerry said price was going to be $2k or under. At that price point, they could sell a bunch. But with the established reputation of NF and the many reticle options, combined with a lower price, it doesn't seem like too dificult of a choice.

No kidding. I want the full on specs. Still, I'll let others (like the USMC for example) use them for a bit first before I buy.

Do it. I'd love to see one first before I buy. Not going to drop that much sight unseen...I got burned once before on a newly designed scope...

You got your money back thow......... It will be fine. I wouldnt pay 2200 for a nightforce FFP thow...... The premier is like a S&B on steriods hopefully.... Its shure sounds like it.

If the NF FFP is only a few hundred less than the PR, I'd probably go PR due to the features. Need more info first.

Time will tell, Frank will have them soon. Kepp your eyes out over there. They will be going threw rifles only and we will see how they hold up.

When did you get a boxer? Dude.. puppies are work. At least you have some baby toys you may be able to converto to dog toys :)

I had the puppies as preparation for the babies. It actually did help. Potty training the dog prepared me for the every 2 hour feedings in the first couple of weeks.

At that price, it'd have to be amazingly good to challenge S&B and USO.

I couldn't resist. Boxers in my opinion have all the best qualities, intelligent, loyal, good guard dogs, playful, not too big, not too small, short-haired and good looking. Only issue is potty trainning her. Yep having two babies is work, but it's all a part of the whole family thing. Plus, it'll be fun taking her to a huge dog park to play around with.
