12025 has an exemption and does not apply:
• Licensed hunters or fishermen while engaged in hunting or fishing, or while going
to or returning from such hunting or fishing expeditions.
Going to or returning from. A way to carry concealed?

Can you prove to a jury that you really were going directly to or from a hunting or fishing expedition? That would end up being your $50,000 question if you get caught/arrested/prosecuted for a violation of PC 12025... even if you really were exempt.

Youre right, but what if you were, do you interpret this that way?

You have to have a valid fishing or hunting license on your person.

I would assume this would be interpreted as to/from your car in an incorporated area, such as is along the Sacramento River near highway 160.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm pretty sure i've seen fisherman along the Sacramento River with pistols open carried a while ago.
