View Full Version : WEGC-PBR Match 4/13

Socal Shooters,

Next weekend we will be having our monthly Precision Bolt Rifle Match at West End Gun Club. February was heavy rain and last month was high winds, so hopefully this coming weekend should be better.

We will be working on the long range game (long range for WEGC) and we will be shooting for points with time. I will need a couple of you guys to help me get the hangers up and out at the 500 so we can do some long range stuff for data.

If you haven't shot in awhile this would be a great opportunity to practice up for the 2008 SCPRC which is almost full by the way. Please let me know how many of you are coming so I can plan accordingly. If you have never shot at West End Gun Club it would be a good idea to come out and gather data for the SCPRC coming up. The flag points to the left and the wind trails to the right and vis-vers. Ask Vu he'll tell you....hey partner...:p

Entry fee is $20.00 per shooter.

Start time is at 0730 at the 500 yard line.

See you next Sunday, Spaniard

Looks like I'm working every weekend until further notice. I miss those matches and shooting at APS has gotten muy boring. Maybe I can swing a Sunday off in June so I can at least get my dope for SCPRC - we all know WEGC and I never have gotten along well so I need all the help I can get.

I'm gonna try but most likely it will be next months match.

We're all just full of excuses :chris:

I'll be there and Luc too :)

Maybe me and brother- dunno yet.

I plan on focusing on the long range shooting for April and May. June will have more emphasis on the short game simple because there will be an annual major cowboy match going that same weekend and we need to share the range.

Good longer range practice for West End Gun Club if you can make it.

Regards, Spaniard...

Hey Men,
For those of you shooting tomorrow at West End, I will be testing out a new timing system where I can time up to 10 guys at once. I need to do some BETA Testing to see if this will work for the SCPRC. I think it will work great and speed up the overall match, can't beat that.

Meet up at the 500 yard in the morning, 0730.

See you there.

Hey Men,
We had a good day for a match, it was a little windy but not bad, good for training.

We did a little paper with mostly steel. We used the hangers at the 500. Jeff Butler & The Frog were the only two that got their Cold Bores.

Here is the order of finish. Good Job guys, see you next month.

1-Don Augustine (288 Pts) (Don cleaned a few stages, good job)
2-Pascal Baudar "The Frog" (283 Pts) The Frog is back!
3-Scott Cochran (278 Pts)
4-Spaniard (228 Pts)
5-John Rose (220 Pts)
6-Luc Baudar (214 Pts)
7-Jeff Butler (190 Pts)
8-Jeff Cochran (149 Pts)
9-Wes Gildart (138 Pts)

Here are some pictures from Sunday's PBR Match at West End Gun Club this past Sunday. Don Augustine won April's Match.

Next month we will be shooting from the dirt, mostly angle shooting.

We used all 4 shooting positions on Sunday and what it told us is that we need to work those positions. All four positions will be used at SCPRC, so practice up.

Awesome match Spaniard and it was excellent training for wind and precision.

Thank you for putting those monthly matches. Between you and Timberwolf we have a nice blend of precision and tactical shooting.

Thanks a bunch!
