I don't think it's too wise of the guy to be giving interviews before he's cleared of any wrongdoing by the DA's Office. Other than that - thumbs up!

It's not like California, you don't have to be all worried over there. Plus the police already said he was fine, as he stated in the interview and that he would get his guns back shortly.

Haha, how funny. I'm watching this guy and in my brainwashed "Californianized" mind I'm thinking "uh oh, there was a huge disparity of force, he'd gonna get busted" and "uh oh, he shot the guy trying to run away, jury's gonna get him for that" and of course "damn, he didn't kill the guy so now he'll get sued."

Then I thought about it more when listening to the man's simplistic, realistic, "rights driven" logic that it's just something expected and warranted to do when some scumbag thief breaks into your home. It was almost therapeutic seeing him talk like that so calmly and justified. I adopted him as my vicarious "free-man" dad! lol

That is exactly what line of thinking that we must completely remove from ourselves and attack at any available opportunity. That is what tells people that what the PRK says by the idiotic contortions of so called law is acceptable. It is NOT. It has been tolerated and shall not be anymore.

That's what I was thinking. lol Or he must have been shot from a distance. The funny thing is he shot the perp while he was running, and he's cleared. Gotta love Texas. You'd get strung up by the nuts if you were to do that in Ca. Criminals are protected in CA.

You have to admire the attitude the folks have towards crime...... most of them are against it, at least that's the way their minds tend to lean.

I'm a Native Texan.

Depends what size shot, load (velocity) and how farAlso, the type and thickness of the BG's clothing.

What I noticed is not only the different attitude of the GG and the LEOs (apparently), but also the sympathetic tone of voice and questions posed by the TV interviewer.

birdshot is absolutely weak.

as an example; i was shooting some birdshot through my 590 at 15 yds today and the damn stuff was bouncing right off the PLASTIC PVC pipe target hanger.

i mean heck. i was TRYING TO kill the damn hanger! but it wouldnt die.

finally i just went to the federal tactical 00 buck. i hate to go OT, but that is the best damn buckshot ive ever used. Light recoil, insane penetration, AWESOME pattern. do yourself a favor and buy some for HD

Original video link didn't work for me. So, I found some more. Good job to the homeowner. :18:

The scumbag is lucky to be alive, hope he has a long stay in jail.
